This is the funniest channel I have ever seen but I can't show it anyone in real life because they'll think it's in bad taste and also I'm in the military so it looks doubly bad on me.

Yes it depicts the worst stereotypes most americans believe about Muslims and it makes light of terror attacks but the humor I find in it is the unreasonable fear people have when they see someone with a beard in a headdress.

I also love imperfections. It's like when I went to go buy some fish, it's a huge store with so many different varieties. I haven't been home in years, for many reasons, and my mom keeps bugging me about it. Today she called and asked why I don't want to come home, and shy away from even talking about stepping foot back in Wisconsin. She named a few reasons why she thinks I have such anger/fear of being back home, some of them had nothing to do with it, some held a little weight, but there was one which is mostly true. I don't want to say what it is, but there was a situation I was forced into when I was young, which haunts me to this day. I have PTSD from it, and when someone touches me, I flinch and get defensive -- even my own mother has to ask if she can hug me. I can't help it, and I can't get over it. However, I have learned to slightly control my thoughts and actions by helping others on reddit and by running a blog, but I'll never be able to get rid of the reactions from what happened. That being said, my mother wonders if I hate her, or I'm angry with her. Part of me is for not protecting me when I couldn't protect myself, but the other part of me can't help but love her...she's my mother. Every day is a constant struggle to not spiral out of control, but every day is a new chance to come to terms with, and get over what happened. Phew.

In the last...3-4 years I've really changed the way I think. There was a time in my younger years when I thought poorly of people who either chose or didn't choose alternate lifestyles. I used to have such a horrible opinion of those in the LGBTQIA community...I feel so ashamed of myself for having an opinion about something I didn't understand. People just want to be happy, they just want to be on the outside how the feel on the inside. The just want to love, and live life to the fullest. Now I see people who have the same thoughts I used to have, and I hate them. I hate the way they use their religion (the way I used to) to stand between others and their happiness. How hateful their opinions are, and how horrible they're willing to treat others. I can't fathom it. I can't imagine what it must be like to be on the receiving end of that...being hated for not fitting the ideal 'status quo'. I wish I could say sorry to those who I've offended...those who I've put down because I was filled with hate and misunderstanding. If you're reading this...I'm sorry.

My grandfather and my great grandmother both died last September. I feel like because that was RIGHT when dissertation was due, and because I was so far away I didn't get to mourn. I'm afraid that either I'll never feel it or I'll have a breakdown one day or something. It makes me nervous.

I'll be a jerk with you and express my distaste for this one woman I knew in high school. She has had 4 kids so far, and keeps giving them up for adoption right away. I sound like an asshole for saying this, but why doesn't she just...stop having fucking kids if she doesn't have the means to take care of them? Go get your tubes tied instead of constantly throwing kids into 'the system'. I'm not trying to judge her, or what she does with her body/sex life, but holy shit batman...

Okay but this grinds my fucking gears. I lived with someone who kept trying to have kids for the welfare benefits while having no job and the man she tried to get to knock her up pointed this out and didn't like it. so she cheats on him in their own bed because she wants to get pregnant that badly. She claims it was because she wanted to be a mother but she mentioned the benefits way too much for it to just be about that, along with the fact she was trying anything to get her way.

 

If anyone figures out who I'm talking about I'll probably delete this post.

Just noticed that I never posted an update about this. It was about a job and condo interview (for rent), I got both so now I'm out of my dad's place and I have a new job (with a raise). Life should be good but sometimes I miss my old life (despite how often I'd complain about it). Probably just takes time to adjust to the new

I see this all the time on Faceshit, and you're right they're fucking morons. While it sucks on males, women really really really got the short end of the stick when it comes to FGM. I do however wish that one day male circumcision will be treated like FGM, and be against the law -- except in cases of that religion bullshit and medical necessity.
