I got the idea for this thread after reading about this pile of human garbage:

http://www.theguardi...mikke?CMP=fb_gu

“Semen probably is not wasted, because nature usually makes use of the material it has, and there is a hypothesis that the attitudes of men are passed to women by way of the semen which penetrates the tissue,” he told the Observer, in the tone a science teacher might use for a basic lesson.

That's just one gem from the article..

Any other silly things from politicians around the world?

I read the article, and damnnnnn why the hell does he have power? His views are literally the most uneducated ever...

More like willfully ignorant.

"In Portugal, the unemployment is around 20%. That means one every four Portuguese is unemployed." - our president.

That's.. wow. Haha geez

We are screwed.

"Wind is God's way of balancing heat. Wind is the way you shift heat from areas where it's hotter to areas where it's cooler. That's what wind is. Wouldn't it be ironic if in the interest of global warming we mandated massive switches to energy, which is a finite resource, which slows the winds down, which causes the temperature to go up? Now, I'm not saying that's going to happen, Mr. Chairman, but that is definitely something on the massive scale. I mean, it does make some sense. You stop somethin\g, you can't transfer that heat, and the heat goes up. It's just something to think about."

I think I get the basic concepts he's talking about. Not sure on what grounds he's making the logical leap here:

WTF does he mean by a "switch to energy"?

Wait, is energy a finite resource?

Remember Todd Akin's comment on "Legitimate Rape?"

Well you know, people always want to try to make that as one of those things, well how do you, how do you slice this particularly tough sort of ethical question. First of all, from what I understand from doctors, that's really rare. If it's a legitimate rape, the female body has ways to try to shut that whole thing down. But let's assume that maybe that didn't work or something. I think there should be some punishment, but the punishment ought to be on the rapist and not attacking the child.

This is one of my favorites-

“This may sound a little West Texan to you, but I like it. When I'm talking about.. when I'm talking about myself, and when he's talking about myself, all of us are talking about me.”

"In Iran we don't have homosexuals like in your country," Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said at Columbia University last night in response to a question about the recent execution of two gay men there.

"In Iran we do not have this phenomenon," he continued. "I do not know who has told you we have it."

"In Iran we don't have homosexuals like in your country," Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said at Columbia University last night in response to a question about the recent execution of two gay men there.
"In Iran we do not have this phenomenon," he continued. "I do not know who has told you we have it."

Anything out of Ahmadinejad's mouth is pretty much a joke.
Here's a few others

"They (the Western powers) launched the myth of the Holocaust. They lied, they put on a show and then they support the Jews."

"It is obvious that the African countries must be plundered of their wealth and resources. The major powers and despots are behind the development of these diseases so they could then sell their drugs and medical equipment to the poor countries."

"An incident known as 9/11 occurred. It is not yet clear who carried it out, who collaborated with them and who paved the way for them. The event took place, and -- like in the case of the Holocaust -- they sealed it off, refusing to allow objective research groups to find out the truth. They invaded Iraq and Afghanistan, using 9/11 as a pretext."
