Black Friday is nearly Friday here in CST zone. A little less than two hours.

How did everyone make out? Find any good deals? Anyone get into or witness any scuffles (or worse)?

Sadly (yet not unexpectedly unfortunately)...

A slight increase from years past. Can't we go one year without a death? This is absolutely stupid. These are just material things. THEY ARE NOT WORTH TAKING A LIFE OVER!
Stupid sheeple.

Didn't make it to GameStop's physical store like I originally planned. Ended up staying awake until 4-5 AM then decided to say screw it and see what was left whenever I woke up.

Called a location to find out they were sold out of Tales of Xillia 2, but the other store nearby had 3 copies remaining.

Then things got... weird. Annoying.

Was told that the $19.99 price was online only (which was bs). Went to the website and a huge banner above the game said "Don't worry the price you see online is the price it'll be in store" or something to that effect.

Didn't want to support a store that either lies to me or too ____ to know what their own sales are (seriously, takes two seconds to look at the ad that I'm sure you have behind your desk; I would have happily waited to double check rather than be misinformed.) In all fairness this location has gone to crap since their previous store manager quit to sell cars though.

Spoiler

Ended up buying it from them online. Had to spend an extra $5.01 to qualify for the free economy shipping, but it was worth it. Picked up Dragon Age: Origins for myself for like $6.29 and Xillia 2 for the missus. Everyone is happy. Really thankful it turned out this way and I didn't go at 6-7 AM. Can't even imagine what parking and traffic would be like let alone the stores themselves. Last time I went out on Black Friday to Sears and it was a MAD HOUSE.

Ah well. Hope everyone survived the War of Black Friday 2014.
Best wishes and happy holidays everyone!

I bought one pair of touch screen compatible gloves and got another pair free... That's about it LOL.

I got the teal and black ones for when I got into work in the mornings. Teal and black are two of my school's colors and it matches my uniform. The pink-ish red ones were just cute.

I like how they have to label gloves as such, what a world we live in.

Hey, it's cold out there. Might as well be cold and entertained!

Waiting outside a store for several hours in -10 degree temperature is not the best idea.

Bought some groceries on black friday and that's about it.
