Addie Fausett is suffering from a brain condition that will likely take her life within the next year. In preparing to celebrate what they think will be Addie's final Christmas, her parents have asked for people to send their daughter a "lifetime of Christmas cards."
Spoiler

Her father also died over the weekend, apparently.

This one hit me a little harder than the other boy I posted about. My oldest daughter is 6, and I can't imagine losing her right now. (I might've cried a little when I read the article.) However, I do know the sheer joy my 6 year old gets from opening mail, especially when it's addressed to her.

Anyway, I'm adding her to my Christmas card list. It's a simple way to make someone happy.

Addie Lynn and Sisters, P.O. Box 162, Fountain Green, UT 84632

(This was the address provided, but I'll probably send separate cards for the sisters.)

It's sad how the human body, and how great it is, can be defective. I'll be sending a card too

The way you quoted the title made me think you were being sarcastic. Now I feel bad.

Sadly, there are lots of kids who are really sick and die before they get a chance to do much. If sending a card will make some doomed soul happy just for a moment, then why not do it?

I've been to several live wrestling shows this year and every time during a break they show this clip of this dying kid...

I was not expecting it the first time and I ended up crying and my boyfriend called me a softie. The next time it happened, I decided then was a good time to get up and go pay $10 for a hotdog.

This is exactly how I feel about it.
