In a glistening forest, with autumn winds
A babbling brook, swims daunting fins
A noise is heard, of feathers and feet
The birds of fall, they come to meet.

As glorious as all this is to see,
A hunt precedes, within the trees
A turkeys quest to live and be
Can hinder with this enemy.

A canopy of branches, twist and turn
The swift made bird, was made to learn
Escaping harm another day
A gobble goes to know the play.

The sun retires, the moon shines bright
The resting woods breathe soft at night
May peace be strong and fill the earth
Thanksgivings love is winters birth.
