Political ignorance is not primarily the result of stupidity. For most people, it is a rational reaction to the enormous size and complexity of government and the reality that the chance that their vote will have an impact on electoral outcomes is extremely low.
Um, why is the author of this article citing a Cato rational choice theory circlejerker like his opinion is fact?

It's funny that you picked that out. The author now seems to be making a similar fallacy as those he puts down in the article: not everything you read/hear is fact. This article should be put in the opinion section of the newspaper.

If there isn't a competition for most relevant irrelevant gifs already, I move that we start one.
Someone should issue a warning that there is a high chance that somebody close to you might have DNA.
