I'm in one of the worst areas. We're expecting up to 36 inches of snow. @_@ Just got back from emergency grocery shopping.

Are you getting ready for the blizzard?

Stay safe and warm if you are! ^_^

I think I am. I'm not in one of the worst areas though.

I remember in February (can't remember the year) PA had what we now call the snow-poclapyse. We got put in a state of emergency, school closed for a week, power and heating were out everywhere and there was snow burying houses.

I am not, too far south (thank goodness). I think my sister and her boyfriend are still in upstate NY. They are supposed to fly back to Portland tomorrow I think? I hope they don't get stuck!

School got cancelled and I can't see out my window... and that's from the snow from the last storm a few days ago.

8 to 24 inches of snow. Goddamn.

Where are you in NJ @w0nderwall? We're only expecting about a foot of snow by me. I think people are overreacting.

Feel free to send snow to the west coast, I'd love it! It hasn't felt like winter apart from a few days below freezing :(

Ah, makes sense. I'm guessing you're also expecting the bulk of it overnight? It's been flurrying on and off in Morris County all day, but we've only gotten about an inch of snow accumulation so far. I'm actually going to be a little disappointed if we only get a few inches here after all the hype.

I think up in Binghamton we're supposed to miss a good amount of the snow. I think it said 1-3 inches today and 3-6 tomorrow but I'm expecting the low end of both and not anticipating any classes being cancelled, but that would be a nice surprise.

Yup! it's supposed to get really bad between 6 and 9 PM and carry in to the morning. It's been flurrying here all day, too, but we only have about 1/2 an inch on the ground at the moment.

My boyfriend from Australia leaves next week after being here for 3 months. He's never seen snow before ( minus the like 1/2 inch we got last week ) and we were scared he wasn't going to see some real accumulation during his visit. Nothing like potentially 3 feet to break him in. :D
