...how shitty the new non-NC items are looking nowadays?
I apologize if there's already a thread on this.
^ Awful. Looks like something from 10 years ago.
^ Clearly the same base, with features that either look like they were pasted from somewhere else (Vandagyre) or sloppily drawn and awkward looking (Bearog).
Don't even get me started on some of the Caption Contest pictures we've had lately...
I miss when item art actually looked decent. 
They're cutting corners.

The Bearog bottle's perspective is hilariously bad. The heads are massive and I have no idea how the bottle would stay upright with one sticking out so far to the left.
^ ...I can't even. They got a 6-year-old to trace a Noil and then applied an emboss filter. I refuse to believe a full grown adult was paid to draw this.

In the last 20 CC pictures, 10 of them were photos of a Neopets toys to create a simple scene.

It seems like they are having their best artists do the NC items while just about everyone else capable of opening photoshop is doing the rest.

That rainbow baby blu it's just... ergh. Everything about it it's just so wrong. The lines, the colouring, the really awkwardly designed eyes that makes it looks like it's terrible sad or being bullied.
The wreath leads to believe that there's more than one person in the "art department" (lol) and their technique is not compatible. There's so many discrepancies.
Is that supposed to be a Jubjub? Just LOL
And I kinda like the snowflake mobile.

That folder in particular is the epitome of shit.
I started this thread back when TNT was still around and the art was just beginning to take a nosedive in quality...NC items still looked up to snuff. Your post is proof that now even NC items aren't safe. The sad part about that is that NCers will probably still purchase them.
