Do you have a favorite game? Favorite Character? Favorite Villain? Favorite Moments? Least favorite moments of grinding, hair-pulling mini games?

Discuss.

If you're going to post plot spoiiers, then used the the spoiler tag example like below
Everybody dies except for the one person we all love to hate.
I think I've only played one in my life, and it was the one with three girls (probably the x-2, I remember that girl). I didn't really like it because it was round based, and I don't have patience for that lol

Yeah that's most of the Final Fantasy games. :p

I've played so few I can't really be entitled to say much. I own most of the early titles via the PS1 releases, but I've yet to get around to playing them.

I've played 3 (6 in Japan), 7, Crisis Core, Tactics and Dissidia.

I couldn't get past the 1st disc in 7... for whatever reason I just got bored and I know I missed out on

Oh man. That's a tough one.
Probably a tie between XI and VIII.

X & VII are a dang close second though.

Spent so many years playing XI... even still slightly prefer it over XIV, but honestly can't really compare considering how relatively new a Realm Reborn is.

Give XIV: ARR a few more years of growth and it'll give XI a run for its money, for me anyways.

Have I & II on a PS1 disk floating around my apartment somewhere. Generally dust it off once a year or so. Love me some 8-bit theater nostalgia. ^_^

What do you guys think of the 3D remakes of III & IV on Steam and the Nintendo DS?

Haven't started IV yet, but really enjoying III so far.

I played III on Steam and I can't say I have a particular affinity for it. I beat it and I do respect the classic (simple save the world bit by bit until you save the world for real) final fantasy story. I can't really compare it to the original FFIII because the only FF games are 7, 8, 9, 10, 10-2, and the original and PSP Tactics: War of the Lions. The graphics are cute for a remake, but it's such a grinding game where you need to grind at every point to beat the game, but I can't blame it for that because of its classic origins. I can't exactly speed through the game without grinding. 3 out of 5. Would not play again. Don't let me stop you from playing. I like games with different dimensions to immerse myself in. With FFIII in general, the awe of a monster filled world isn't enough for me.

I only played IV, V and VI and enjoyed all three. I can't really pick a favorite as it have been a long time since I played any of them, but it's definitely between V or VI.

X Is hands down my all time favourite game. I could sit and play it endlessly if life permitted.

It has one of the best story lines i've ever played through, in my opinion. Least favourite area is the Calm Lands because I do end up grinding there for what feels like an eternity. Favourite character is probably Sir Auron or Kimari. I like the strong silent types. :p

Villain wise I think i like Seymour Natus the best, I enjoy the fight and lead up to it.

I enjoyed FF XII. Levelling was fun, until I found out about the Negalmuur    And on a side note, I really liked Fran's accent.

It's one of my favourites too.

I think FF XII is a bit underrated.

But I didn't play many final fantasies, I played IV, VI, X, X-2, XII, XIII, and tactics.

It's hard to pick a favourite
