I don't like American cheese, and highly suspect it's just "cheese product" masquerading as real cheese.

As a person who cooks, I really appreciate a good mozzarella. The taste is great, and the texture remains cheesy when cooked instead of separating.

I don't know what's going on but I like dill havarti.

And some other cheese that I can't remember the name of to save my life right now.

The holes in swiss cheese always kinda creeped me out because I knew they were from gasses put off by...stuff growing in it. I know cheese is a weird thing, but the holes are an extra reminder

Looks don't matter nearly as much as taste but... hole-less Swiss just seems... wrong.
Still, I'd be okay if it didn't have holes (albeit slightly disappointed).
Personally I think the more holes it has the less costly it should be.

Don't sell me half/quarter slices of cheese at the same price as your "complete" sliced Chipotle Cheddar, Sargentos brand.  lol

As for favorites...
Provolone, gouda, butterkäse, gruyère and muenster all the way.
They're just so...   gouda dang near everything.

Suggest a spicy cheese?

Spoiler

Not sure if we get that exact same brand (think so), but wife loves the stuff.

I love my cheese, but I'd rather have holey Swiss cheese. Anything else is odd.

My absolute favourite cheese is a Wensleydale with cranberries or blueberries. On a soft roll, it's absolute heaven.

We eat a lot of cheese.

My parents got an awesome ghost pepper cheese... I don't know what the actual cheese was.  I want to say cheddar but it may have been jack.

Provolone, gouda, butterkäse, gruyère and muenster all the way.

I think we were separated at birth.

How is butterkäse?  I have been wanting to get it but Patty (the lady at the cheese counter who knows us very well hehe) said it wasn't that great.

My favorite cheese(s) is gouda.  I love rich, dense cheese with a little texture.  I love 1000 day old gouda.  Super old gouda starts to get hard to eat.  I can only have a tiny bite because it's so rich (but I love it so much).

Gruyère is my favorite sandwich cheese, with some ham on toast, unf

Mmmm Wensleydale with cranberries.  I only get it once every couple of years but WHEN I DO...

Ok I could legit talk about cheese for hours.  We decided last week that we are going to start a cheese journal because it's getting hard to remember all the cheeses we've had and what we thought of them.  We buy 2-3 cheeses a week.

I have made some of the absolute BEST grilled cheese sandwiches with that cheese. When I first tried it, it had this like... buttery (obv) taste, milky texture and instantly thought grilled cheese. I'll generally pair it with American, cheddar, or even gruyère though. Little bit of feta if I have it, but I'm a feta fiend tbh. lol

I'm a goat cheese fiend.  We'll have to try the butterkäse!

It was a raclette.  Still have a bit of it left, I actually liked it quite a bit.  It's a little funky, which is cool.

There's this blue cheese that is amazing... Bleu d'Auvergne.  So creamy and goooood.

Also St. Angel triple cream brie.

I need to stop before I make a mess.

If I'm buying cheese priced by weight, I don't really care either way. But if I'm buying cheese priced by size, I would probably go for the unholed. I'm a cheeseskate like that.

Speaking of germs, I absolutely adore this picture and want a similar print with my own kids' hands for my wall.

It's a petri dish with the colonized germs of an 8 year old after he played outside.

That;s pretty cool! But it makes me shiver to think about all the germs and bacteria we encounter each day  :o

I did something like that in the first grade only we used boring old ink.

This is pretty frikkin sweet though.

If I ever have kids we're so definitely doing this.
