Do anyone know of any forms or communities that I can go to, to get help with internet connections? My ISP is doing shit and has said that there is nothing else that could be done with our woeful connection.

I'm not sure where to look for assistance.

Maybe http://techreport.com/forums/ ? There's a networking subforum.

or http://www.cnet.com/...rking-wireless/

Just google it a bit, I'm sure you'll find other forums.

(you probably will have more replies too if you ask for other forums on those sites)

you've had a tech come out and check all your lines? I'd be calling and complaining daily if my internet wasn't working like it was supposed to.

What type of connection are you using : Wired or Wireless?

What type of hardware are you using: A combination modem/router OR two separate devices?

What brand of hardware are you using: Cisco/Linksys, Belkin, D-Link, etc.

I have a fairly extensive knowledge of networking troubleshooting, and topology.

EDIT -- Who is your ISP?

Ohhh try the whirlpool forums here in Aus mate. They're generally really good with helping out locals with tech issues and ISP stuff.

Welp, that sucks. How long have you been in the contract for? Might be time to look at a new provider?

Been in contract for a month and a half. Switched from Adam. They told us they couldnt do anything for us and recommended that we look for a different provider -.-

So I guess the last piece of information I'm missing is -- what exactly does a 'woeful' connection include? Is it slow? Dropping connection randomly? What's the issue?
