I've been watching a lot of Etho playing Terraria 1.3, and I'd love to play with some people. Tried to start a world with Cristen, but she's not all that into it.

Any thoughts?

Ok... thanks for your contribution?

Here's the trailer for the game:

I know, but I'm cheap and broke :p I wouldn't have much time anyway, but I might buy it in December, when all the exams are over for the year.

The game is tons of fun. I just beat the "final" boss of the game last night after goofing around for the last month straight since the 1.3 update launched.

Honestly I don't know if you even need a legal copy. Unless you want to play through Steam it connects via IP and Turnip pirated Risk of Rain when I bought it and we still played fine together.

I'll play as long as I don't get stuck being magic bitch. My last Terraria group made me the magic bitch. :(

Oh, cool ^^ Not that I condone or support software piracy. *hem*

I don't even know. I'm a total noob - I learn everything from watching Etho play :p

They might have changed it though. It would have to be tested, but it's pretty easy to.

Plus you might get a few more players.

Pirated copies work just fine!! The version you'll want is 1.3.0.7 since that has all the content n shit~ (Obviously if you buy it then you won't have to worry about this lol)

And also because you won't be able to connect to each other when you have different versions.

Well it looks like Minecraft meets Maplestory.

I'm intrigued.

If you like Minecraft then you're pretty much guaranteed to like Terraria ^^ It's like a 2D Minecraft but with way, waaay more content. Like sure there are a lot of similarities but just watching Elin and his friend play in Terraria together and comparing it to what I did in Minecraft years ago, I see them get up to way more things than I ever did because there's just so much for you to do.

I haven't played in a long time, but I'd be willing to start up again. Nikki and I played Starbound together and enjoyed it for a while, but I'm not sure if she'd be as interested in the setting of Terraria. If only Starbound was a little further along in development.

The game has been in early access for a year and a half. I doubt it'll be finished any time soon.

I'm pretty sure that was the point he was trying to make :p

Understandable, considering one is a complete game and the other isn't. I think I prefer Starbound only because it's a little more casual/less intimidating. I'm not exactly an avid gamer.

Yeah the game can get pretty unforgiving near the end with the massive amount of damage you receive. Me finishing up the last few things involved me charging in and dying until I won. Even with the endgame armor things still tend to hurt a bit.

It's less than a month old.

I'm not sure what all is new because I hadn't played it before 1.3 since 2011.

I've been tinkering with Terraria on and off - It's no fun playing in a sandbox alone. If we have a few people I've love to join in on a Codex server
