Yep it's automated, there's a scheduled thread always running over rows of the DB but it's slow when single threaded and checking may take days to iterate over the whole thing, why was one of them adopted already?

I know for sure that if you get a cupcake from a pet, the next person who adopts the same pet also gets a cupcake You can only get one cupcake per account but there's no limit on how much cupcakes one same pet can give out.

Thanks for killing our curiosity. It doesn't surprise me, actually. It even makes sense.

But, unfortunately, the fact that we can't get two cupcakes in the same account it's a bit disappointing (for the Pet that won't get a cupcake for its b-day ).

When we PM'ed yesterday I was very tired and I couldn't make sense of anything *derp*

I can confirm what iKate said. Adopted two Pets and only got the cupcake from the first one (with the second Pet the pop-up window with the cupcakes didn't even show up). Meh.

And adopted the first pet with two different acounts and was able to get the cupcake on both!

Now, if only TNT made some Level cupcakes, eh?

Yeah, guess they didn't want people to abuse the birthday cupcakes too much. xD.

And there's a 1 pound/day limit so you'd have tons of pets clogging your account.

Have you already spun the daily trudy wheel thing? Claiming cupcakes doesn't work if you didn't spin the wheel yet (unless you disabled it).

An other option is that it's not the birthday of that pet today.
