1. go to customize > pound
2. click on adopt
3. on the search bar, type one of the pet names that desant shared
4. once you've adopted the pet, view its petlookup
5. there will be a pop-up of 3 different choices of cupcakes (pink cupcake: +HP, the blue cupcake: +DF and the yellow cupcake: +STR)... select one.
6. once you're done, go to customize > pound
7. click on abandon
8. abandon the pet so that others can have cupcakes too
9. ??
10. profit

I think "step 9." was supposed to say "stand up and shimmy"

Well, that's not a link to an image, it's a link to a webpage with an image on it. 
Images' url usually end up with .jpg, .png, or .gif
So in this case the image url is http://media.giphy.com/media/UO5elnTqo4vSg/giphy.gif
And the code to do this ^ is:
[img=PUT THE IMAGE URL HERE]
You can use the tree icon under the " 
" smiley when you're writing a post too.

I tried to link the image first, but only the embed code came up so i linked the url instead lol.

I wasn't able to choose a cupcake from one of the pets, even though the balloons and birthday theme did show up. So I'm guessing they can only give out one cupcake per pet.

This is strange but not the case, I pass one pet across all 5 of my accounts each day.
