Nope. My best ever, though, was ORAS, where I got 500-something of the 700-something. It was way too difficult and time consuming. I preferred collecting every OU Pokemon on Smogon, which I did lol.

I've tried since i actually own all the games and multiple gameboy's/DS's, but I never could really get into it, without rng manipulating some of the pokes, its fairly annoying to get some low % ones.

I know I've gotten every single non-event pokemon, because I get the shiny charm every game for breeding purposes. I want to say that I've had all the events at some point too, but I can't recall. I don't really care about the event stuff though unless it's a mon I plan on using (or if it counts toward the shiny charm).

Closest I got to catching 'em all was in Red, when I got everything but the trade mons. After that comes the Unova Dex for Black 2, but that was only because I wanted to snap up the shiny Haxorus in the Nature Preserve.

I know for sure I caught them all in Yellow and I was pretty close in Sapphire and Emerald. I just didn't have any friends who owned the 3rd gen games I do own the other gens, but I haven't bothered catching em all on those.

Yes, using the action replay.   If we're talking legit, the closest I got was in Pokemon Leafgreen. Got 132 out of the 151

Did in Sapphire and X. Considering making a complete live dex in OR but I don't have much free time anymore so I probably won't.

I did it on Heart Gold. When XY was released I decided to complete the dex on Pokémon Y, but I don't have time for it anymore XD

With the Internet and being able to trade with people on the other side of the planet, this is actually easier than ever. Need a pokemon? Just catch any version-exclusive mon, put it up for trade and ask for something you don't have. As long as you're not asking for a legendary, someone will make that trade because they need it to fill their own dex. As a bonus, you get tons of different IDs for the lottery.
