I am using a program to find which books my neopets hasnt read and going through manually and buying them and then reading them. Is there an automated, or easier, way of doing this? I want to get to the 400 int level so its not to monotonous but still kind of boring.

I wrote a program to automatically buy and read books awhile ago. It's probably broken by now, but worth a shot.

What I did was make a custom list (using the item DB) of all books under like 10k NP. I then used the User Shop AB found in ValorSuite to purchase said books. Then, I would manually read the books myself. It is still time consuming, but at least you don't have to do the searching/buying which is the worst part IMO.

It's been a while since I've done it, but I don't recall it taking all that long. What parts are holding you up?
