Okay so I wanted to try the new Witcher 3 game on PC but all I have is a laptop right now. Minimum requirements for the game is:

Intel CPU Core i5-2500K 3.3GHz
AMD CPU Phenom II X4 940
Nvidia GPU GeForce GTX 660
AMD GPU Radeon HD 7870
RAM 6GB
OS 64-bit Windows 7 or 64-bit Windows 8 (8.1)
DirectX 11
HDD Space 40 GB

I myself got:

Intel Core i7-4510U @ 2.00GHz, 4 at `2.6GHz
NVIDIA GeForce 840M
RAM 4GB
OS 64-bit Windows 8.1
DirectX 11
HDD 889GB

Yeah so the big question is, will the game with my current requirements play ? Will it play smoothly, 30FPS or 60FPS ?

My laptop weren't made for gaming anyways thought I want to try some of the games that will play without much lag.

I'm guessing GPU pays a vital part in this so did some research, but it didn't help much :p I'm such a noob on this matter.

Spoiler

I personally wouldn't use a laptop to game because you trade off performance for portability in most cases (unless you're willing to spend the money for both)

Based on the 3DMark GPU score alone I'd be hesitant to recommend you try the Witcher 3. 660 vs 840M

Plus a) your GPU isn't as fast at 2.6GHz instead of 3.3GHz. b) You don't have enough RAM.

Surprised those are the minimum specs though

Yup those are the minimum specs, recommended specs all well off the charts for me.

If I did try to play with my current specs, it will just lag unconditionally right ? :ohwell:

When it say 'minimum' specs, does that mean they already considered lowering all aspects like disabling anti-aliasing, lowest possible graphic setting and etc. ?

Yes. But that doen't mean a inferior system can't play them. You'd be better installing and testing it on your own :/

The i7 in your laptop is equiv to a top end i3 / low end i5....   and 4GB of ram just won't cut it...

It will run,  but like shit   -   I tried is on my MSI G60   ( similar specs to your's but with 8 GB ram)  and it did not like it at all.
