The spider is a hell lot more scary than the dragonfly (I think that's a dragonfly), but #4 is more artistic than #5, and for a photography contest, that counts a lot imo. I don't know if any of that makes sense, but I'm voting for #4.

I won't lie, I am unfamiliar with these contests. To clarify, did members of Codex actually take both of these, or can they be photos they found somewhere on the internet?

1. Take a photograph that fits how you interpret the theme.

2. Submit the photograph to me.

3. As usual, there will be two winners. One will by chosen by vote and the other will be chosen by a super spooky panel of judges.

4. Photo MUST be taken by you. If you are found to be cheating, you will be disqualified. Based on the severity, you may be warned or banned from future contests.

Oh wow. I feel sorry for whoever took that picture of that spider then, Jesus!

 

However, I do agree with Swarley's interpretation of the contest as a whole, so for that reason, I voted #4.

I didn't like either, but voted for number 4. Number 4 was a better picture overall.

Well now that I know that these pictures were actually taken (just realizing it more like, cause I'm an idiot ) #5 is a lot scarier than I initially thought ._. What kind of spider is that?

As much as I like the dragonfly pic, its artsy not scary.
The spider is definitely nightmare fuel.
