An update on the case, looks like Neopets has ignored the summons and the plaintiff has requested for a default judgement against them. The legal papers suggest that it could be $5mil+.

That was about 6 years ago, think it'd still be valid? I'm still butthurt about it.

My law knowledge is limited to Teen Court. Not sure the statue of limitations on companies screwing over their  paying customers.

Does it show up if you bought a prepaid card? I didn't own a credit card back then, so I always used cash to get prepaid.

I don't see why it wouldn't, but I've never bought a prepaid card. Do you have the email confirmation they sent you?

Honestly, I'm just labbing my pets and playing with pet pages, so their recent (you know, since they got the site) gaffs haven't really bothered me much.

oh man, sad to see them close if that's the case, the war I enjoy most is probably the 2002 war meridell vs darigan plot war.

 

and maybe they could introduce neocash item for people to unfreeze their accounts for a expensive price. (just a thought of making money for them)
