Welcome Home Willow!

tumblr_o0ahdntsLw1qdgvq7o1_500.jpg

Drive home from D and B Aussies.

http://www.dandbaussies.com/

This Willow, our new edition to the family.

Christa ( @saeglopur ) and I have been waiting 10 weeks to get her, ever since she was born.

We had gotten her from a breeder in Lebanon, OR. Just about an hour and a half south of Portland, OR.

And about 40 minutes south east of Salem, OR.

Christa and I have been wanting a dog for a long time, pretty much since we met.

We moved from Spokane to Portland about three years ago, and weren't able to get a dog until now.

Our goal with Willow is to train her, and hopefully get her into some agility sports.

She will be quite a challenge, but I feel that with the willpower that both of us have, we will

definitely succeed at being guardians and family of this precious girl.

The goal of this thread, is to show pictures and videos from time to time of updates in her and our life.

If you want to continually follow up, you can visit my tumblr, and instagram.

Just pm me for the links. :)

She's so young she has a nibbling problem because she wants to suckle. It's so sweet, but sad when you know it's because she was abandoned at about 6 weeks. :/

That is definitely too young to be away from the mother, or at the least her litter mates.

Aww, I hope you get the home soon! If you get a puppy, just remember, they are tough but rewarding.

@Melancholy are you saying treat (or great) as your secondary reinforcer instead of a clicker? Have you trained many dogs before? She really seems to have the hang of shit.

Btw, she's cute af. @.@

Her positive word is "great", I just say it in a high pitch so it could sound different. It also sounds just like "crate" unfortunately. But she knows what "crate time" means at least.

She is super cute, and very well behaved for her age. We are very lucky to have her. :)

My wife has trained her parent's border collie's to an extent. We each have learned a lot through the internet, and currently listening to a lot of It's A Doggy Dog World Podcast.

Well the thread will be here for a long time :)

I'm a boy btw ;) As above, saying "Great!"

We'll get up another video over the next couple days. She can finally go to the park, so we are going to do a park video. So excited to take her outside finally. She got her final shots today. :D

What kind of pup would you have gotten?
