So I grabbed a stylus today for my iPad

I got the black 1:

Spoiler

So after getting home from the City about 4 hours ago I decided to work on some random things using Wacoms pretty cool app; Bamboo Paper.

Here's the results of the last few hours of boredom.. I like both but I guess with some practice or use of a different app, I think I'll be raking in the Monet in no time... :3

I have that stylus too! That glass thing on the bottom (how do you call that) often stops working after using it a lot though. Mine stopped working and people said you have to wipe it with a fiber cloth if it doesn't work like it's supposed to.

I like the drawings :)

Yeah dust can make them play up I've been told. A wipe down is basically what will fix it. But incase you wear it out you can actually buy new ones to replace the broken/dead 1.

We got it to trial it and I like it, but I think it will be my Wifes. I think I'll get the Pro.. although the Touch and Dash look like a contender too. Going from a classic fat stylus though the Jot Mini is great.

My mum has a fat 1 but he nib is covered in a thin material, very much like the material on rubber mouse mats :3

Thanks @iKate Definitely a lot more fun and enjoyable to draw compared to the old fat nib styli :3

It looks really great, especially for an iPad drawing!

Oh, I'm thinking about buying a stylus too. What's the difference between the Mini and the Pro though? If the tip is the same, I think I'd prefer the smaller one so it's easier to carry.

Yeah basically size/length. Apart from the extra Grip that the Pro has. Though even after taking the cover and putting it on the other side the Mini still seems just a little small for me...

@iKate Oh but I did :p Couldn't get details right so I just went with a silhouette of him from 1 of the scenes in Dogma...

I have the same stylus as well! The tips are cheap and replaceable :) you can get a pack of 3-4 for like $7.

You should try Adobe Illustrator, it's a great medium.

I'm going to have to give free style a try soon... Trying to draw from the eye is hard enough but I don't think I'm doing too badly xD

I actually tried sketch after a few hours of playing with illustrator. I think Bamboo Paper is my favourite for now though... although I have a couple of ideas for illustrator. Thanks for the awesome suggestion for that 1 though @Tauriel

Though I thought Adobe released a nearly fully fledged Photoshop version on the iPad at 1 time? I believe I remember seeing or reading about it a few years ago. ... ....

They have a series of apps actually. But you can upload work to your adobe cloud and then open it in another adobe app, making it easy to transfer psds.
They're pretty fantastic for iPad apps tbh. I use Adobe Illustrator the most but Adobe Sketch is great too. "Sketches" is the one I was referring to earlier though, not to be mistaken with Adobe Sketch. It's just called "Sketches" lol
Here's one of my Adobe Illustrator drawings -

I actually saw it whilst looking for Wacom drawing stuff... It looks good, and they have a bundle of their pro version with a tangram game of theirs for the same price $8.99 as the pro version itself...

If at all I ever get a gift card for itunes, I'll probably grab the pro version :)

I can never draw on my iPad without getting frustrated. Somehow I got so used to a desktop. (e.g. my avatar could've been drawn waaay differently on ipad)

What app do you use btw?
