I'm surprised the GOP hasn't failed and become a fireball of burning rage and destruction. Oh wait.
In line with this, I thought this election cycle would be the year of the third party, with at least the Republicans splitting the Tea Party (freedom caucus, whatever they call themselves) off from the sane fiscal conservatives.
The more people communicate with each other directly instead of through some intermediary media company (Fox, NBC, BBC, etc) the less top-down authoritarian media conglomerates we have. We let these people frame every debate, every issue in terms of what will generate the best ratings and viewership for themselves. The false equivalency of putting someone from each party on the screen as though both viewpoints are necessarily legitimate because it makes for adversarial politics. The Fourth Estate is dying, and Crossfire killed it.
