Anyone else having trouble connecting to the server? I tried earlier today as well, and neither then nor now will it let me connect...

I figured out why I couldn't connect. I forgot to tell NoScript to allow one of the things that makes Showdown function. oops

So, I haven't pokemon'd since Silver version... I don't know anything really about this new stuff. But, I am to assume that newer moves are allowed, as long as we still just use gen1 pokemon? I'll likely break rules accidentally and/or get my ass handed to me. Whatever. Just need that pokeball award!

Also, how is this gonna work out for odd numbered rounds? Probably we should have started with 2 people on a first round bye to make things cleaner in that regard.

You're good as long as you don't use the moves on the smogon list Romy posted on the rules (I think swagger was the only move we couldn't use), also the restrictions and such. I almost put gengar with gengarite because gengar wasn't banned... but mega-gengar is :c 

I hadn't noticed about that before reading your comment. Maybe for next tourny we can make people like Romy and Aria, which have the Gym leader title for a reason :v, pass onto round 2 automatically

*laughing with you* Doesn't mean we're good leaders. If I had to put myself somewhere in the 1-8 slot of leaders, I'd be leader #1. I'm basically Brock. Except not male, and not a rock type leader.
