So our old washing machine decided to go kaput and die, repairs were valued at an 'estimated cost' (they wouldn't quote) of around $600...... So we have decided we will be getting a new 1.
Only problem from browsing in the stores, is we're super unsure of whether or not we should choose a front loader or top loader, what brand, size and features.
So to make it a little easier for you guys to share some sort of opinion/suggestion, tell me what washing machine you have, brand etc
We'd probably only want to spend around $800 at the most if we have to.
Help me choose a new washing machine.

I think the one we have at home was 900 BRL. That'd be around 225 USD. Damn.

We have a HE top-loader called the Kenmore 600 S. It's a decent washing machine if you don't overload it.

That's the most similar to the one we got a couple years ago.
It is truly amazing since you can use it to steam clean your clothes but it's about 1000$ so :|
I love front loading machines afaik they're supposed to be less harsh on your clothing or something like that... wears them out slower.
