These games got me really hyped up, but then I also gotta pick up a new 3DS because my current one is bordering 5 years old :p

I'm really hoping these won't be "new" 3D only, because I don't have the money to spend on a "new" 3DS when mine works just fine now.

HYPE!!!  Also, I really wonder how they are planning on implementing the last point that was brought up (Gen 1 Pokemon from the new VC re-release of Red/Blue/Yellow being transferable to Moon/Sun) since, as far as I know, the IV system in the first Gen was significantly different from the one we currently have in place, as well as the fact that Genders, Natures, Abilities, ect. weren't available in those games.

What I'm thinking is that the ingame? converting service in Sun and Moon will probably work like this gen 1 to 3 conversion tool. Dunno how natures are going to work though since they affect stat numbers but maybe they'll just assign a random one or something?

But what I really want to see is whether you can send glitch Pokemon up to the Bank or not since it looks like glitches are working in the RBY ports. Like I'm thinking there will be checks in place which will stop you from sending them up, but there are so many glitch Pokemon that some might find their way up. There's also a fanmade Bank which allows you to store Pokemon locally, so if that gets updated sometime down the road then maybe the glitch Pokemon will be able to get in through that? I don't know what sorta hack checks they have in place on that though. Guess we'll just have to wait and see ^^

Same way they did gave a second ability to pokemon which only had one on a previous game. Each pokemon has a set of data that controls whatever change they'll suffer when transferred to another gen (and something they specifically set up for pokemon coming from gen 1), so I don't think it'll be a problem.

I guess it's a little different since the IV/EV/general Pokemon structure system changes were a bit more radical than the addition to multiple abilities :p Since you're going from 0-15 IVs to 0-31, then 0-65535 EVs to 0-510, and then personality values and all that.

So I've seen some people saying that Sun & Moon are going to be based off Hawaii, which if that's the case then it may just get me to purchase the system and game!

This is the latest image they had on Facebook of 'Beach Walk' Pikachu, it's fucking adorable, and I instantly recognized it as Waimanalo Beach which is on Oahu the island I grew up on.

Biggest hint towards Sun & Moon? Possibly.

Oh I certainly hope not, I realized that I might not be able to afford a new 3DS

That is definitely a plausible solution ^^ I assumed that each IV would only correspond to a single value, didn't even consider a ±1 system :3

I am really interested in seeing what happens with the glitches as well, seeing as they weren't fixed! I am assuming that they will most likely have methods of preventing the glitch pokemon from being sent through in the first place, but another possibility is that the glitch pokemon may revert to whatever its Johto equivalent is (Just my best guess ^^;) here. Another thing I'm interested in seeing as well is what will happen to the glitch pokemon that are over level 100! Guess we'll have to just wait and see whenever the games come out. :D

Also, aside from talking about glitches, I read a really interesting comment, I believe on Youtube, pointing out that in Gen 1 one of the TMs was for the move Fissure, and it just so happens that Machamp was able to learn it in that Generation :D Meaning that if it was transferred to the newest generation, we'd have a 100% OHKO legit move! Just slap on a Scarf on that Machamp and we'll have a beast on our hands ^_^

Oh god Machamp is going to be everywhere in the championships if people manage to get good stats on a transferred one.

Choice Scarf, Jolly, Max Speed, Fissure, No Guard Machamp with 252 in Speed and HP.

That's a bulky monster.

Nah. Nintendo wouldn't limit their audience like that.

I think B/W2 came out after the DSi and they didn't make it DSi exclusive.

Yeah no one bought into that "New 3DS" scam so they wouldn't alienate their sales like that.

Unless they want big profits and it'll be exclusive so everyone will rush out for New Nintendo 3DS™s.
