Volcano Run II Guide

avatar score: 1,500 pts

Here are some of the main tips I would give you before you begin playing this game:

* The best way to play this game is with a slow computer. When it lags, it's easier to control Glubgar. (but if you don't have one, that doesn't really matter) *NOTE: it does take a while to finish the game if your computer is slow

* Make your playing screen as big as your screen resolution lets you! (CTRL+ or CTRL and scroll up) This will help you mentally because it's just somehow easier to control when everything is bigger :3

Controls:

C and V keys: The "C" key will slow you down and the "V" key will speed you up

Left Mouse Button: Holding the left mouse button will make you rise, and letting it go will make you descend.

So now to the actual game:

volcano-run-3ab226.png - Yellow Gem (10pts)

39c743.png - Bomb (an obstacle)

4e59b0.png - Red Gem (20pts)

volcano-run-12c121.png - Flying Rock (an obstacle)

BEST DISTANCE is when you die, your previous distance will be shown in that area
DISTANCE is how much far you have gone from the start to your current point
BONUS is the amount of gems you collect (1yellow gem=10pts, 1red gem=20pts)

That is just a brief explanation of what is what.

Cheat:

"Glubgar" Will give you an extra life. (use right at the start of the game when there are no rocks and the cave is open at its widest)

The best stratergies:

You must have a distance score of 1050pts+ because if it is any less, you will have no chance at all of getting the avatar or trophy.

Use the "C" and "V" keys as much as you want, they will help you around the Bombs, Flying Rocks and Erupting Volcanoes.

When you're in a narrow cave, the best way to get through it is to click the left mouse button really fast so you stay at one height until the cave widens.

The MAX amount of Gems that you can collect is 450, so be careful and collect all of them closer to the end of the game and not at the start because once all Gems are collected, you will get 4 Bombs coming at you at one time and it would be impossible to get out.

To get a score of 470 for collecting Gems, leave a score of 440 Gems and at the next bunch of 3 Gems, collect them all. It will help you heaps, trust me!

In the first life, get 1050+ distance, avoiding all the gems as much as possible. In the next life collect all the remaining gems.

Once you get to the 600-800 mark distance, your cave will be narrowing and you will be getting Erupting Volcanoes. Read carefully how to get through them:
First, use the "C" key to slow down and wait for the volcano to erupt.
Once it has erupted, very quickly, use the "V" key to speed up and fly above the volcano.

With a bit of practice you could earn yourself this spiffy avatar
and most likely get on the Highscore list and get a shiny trophy ^_^

I hope my guide has helped you at least a bit and best of luck getting the avatar! (:

Isn't lag just awesome? :p It's like the ultimate cheat.  About 8+ years ago, I played Zurroball with a really really really old laptop running Windows 95, on dial-up, no ad blocker, probably a couple of viruses.  I just kept playing... and playing... and playing until I finally had to quit, since there was no way I could possibly miss clicking the ball.

Nice guide!
