i had spent a chunk of my childhood being bald because my school was really strict and my dad who took me to the barber shop didn't give a hoot about fashion. now that i'm all grown up tho i can start experimenting with my hair... hallelujah!

on my last trip to the barbershop, i asked the barber to only trim the side of my hair and keep my top hair. i think i'll use similar instructions for the next few trips there so that i can have a longer hair at the top. i'm hoping by the end of the year i can sport a manbun. tbh, i'm not entirely sure if i can pull it off and if such a hairstyle will fly in a professional setting... BUT YOLO. right now my top hair is just around 4-5 inches and i'm already having so much fun. at the moment, i'm styling my hair by putting hair gel and comb them to the back while making sure it's not too greasy and too neat.

  • what kind of hairstyle are you rocking right now?
  • what kinds of men's hairstyles do you like and wish to have?
  • mousse, hair gel, pomade?
  • (plus other questions that i'm not thoughtful enough to think by my own)

I have the "I have an idea but I need my hair to get longer ASAP" style rn.

This is a pretty close idea of what i want:

Buzz cut because it's the easiest n I can do it all on my own.

Kinda miss having the mohawk, but I don't miss the gel.

That beard took 2 weeks to grow, and it wasn't even that thick lol. However, growing facial hair no matter how thin it is, is quite nice. One day I'll be a real man :D.

Thanks.

I do have my own clippers, I usually use size 3. As far as how often I maintain it depends on how lazy I am really. If I'm not lazy somewhere between month and a half to two months. If I'm lazy as hell three and a half months is usually the longest period of time since my hair gets long enough where I resemble a fur ball; the stage where it's not long enough to do anything and not short enough to be considered buzzed anymore.

dayyum, that's exactly what i'm going for man. that looks soooo good! #hairgoals

how long did you keep you hair to get that length? are all your hair the same length? what do you use to tie your hair with? TELL ME EVERYTHING.

personally, the sexiest thing for a guy to do with their facial hair is to keep a stubble. probably a bitch and a half to maintain tho. how i wish i can grow a beard. welp.

Spoiler

looking good man! :) i like the volume of your hair. i'm wondering what product you use to style it? my hair needs something with a stronger hold... no matter how i style my hair with hair gel, it will become unruly in a couple of hours. it's such a hot mess.

btw, it totally didn't cross my mind to ask my barber to cut the top hair the same length throughout so he made it fade towards the sides. so i have to forgo my plan for a manbun. (unless i shave all my hair and redo this shit... uhh nope)

@Fikri

Joico Spiker is a really good hairstyle product I find. But um for people who have really hard and untameable make your hair wet, gel it, and use a hairdryer.

USING THE HAIRDRYER IS REALLY IMPORTANT
