So my electric company finally got to 2016 and decided to offer an averaged billing rate. Do any of you do that? Is it worth it? Basically, you pay a set amount every month based on your previous year's average.

Also discuss other adult, non-sexual things here.

PS change your air filter

My electric company is still stuck in the stone age and only accepts cash or check... really annoying

Today I was waiting in the deli section of the grocery store and a woman walks up and accidentally puts her cheese in my cart and I had to let her know.

That felt weirdly adulthood-ish.

Parents gave me their old car last week.
(2002 Buick LeSabre.)
It's the closest I've ever felt to being an adult simply owning and driving that thing. lol

And now? Not even a week later:

Here I am looking at places to move and houses to make payments on.
(Lincoln, ME is at the top of my list so far.)
Even gotten around to writing that novel I keep talking about.

(In the research phase at the moment.)

Parting with all... well... some of my more childish possessions next.
(Funko Pops, Hot Wheels, comic books, plushies, etc.)

About to qualify for a 401k at work... where they're also fast tracking me to management.
(Store owner is retiring in 6 months so may very well be an assistant manager (or higher) in that much time.)

Diversifying my portfolio - expanding my investments beyond just penny stocks, silver, and gold.

Even have two savings accounts these days. One for "emergencies" and one for "fun" (which has temporarily been renamed Codex 2017 for some mysterious reason.)

I was in the dollar store earlier and realized that the angel soft brand toilet paper has the same pattern as their 25 cents a roll stuff. Coincidence or branding??

25¢ stuff is when the factory ran out of angel softness and started using sandpaper.

You're doing all the adult things.

What's in Maine though? Besides lobsters and blueberries.

I'm sure it's missing a ply or something vital that makes it cheaper.

I just know with 3 potty trained girls in my house, the quarter a roll stuff is probably the only way I can afford internet every month.

We have 30 squishy rolls for $11 every once in a while. Maybe I'll start sending TP air drops to your location.

We get price gouged on everything. When I see that toilet paper deal I'm fighting back housewives for my share whether I need more or not.

Before the weeds come. After the weeds leave.

Maybe?
