I need more reasons than that?

Spoiler

I'm assuming "that" is rental rate? If you're handy and watch the tax/repo auctions, you can buy a house for super fucking cheap. That's how I got mine. What is NS? Nova Scotia?
I didn't realize Hot Springs was further north lol

Speaking of weed eating, I have to do that and mow when I get home from work today. Lame.

My electric company is a real shit. we have to pay electric bill every 2 months but they raised service prices like 500% (last bill was like 4 dollars and now is like 32 dollars :( ) Same for gas and water bills. Our president is fucking everyone else increasing everything (My university doesnt have enough money to pay bills, and many shops are closed because they cant afford bills)

Maybe I am just a power whore. I am curious as to what kind of prices you guys see elsewhere.

Sewer/Water - $50

Power - $125

Gas - $50

Cable/Internet - $150

I think I am getting gouged considering only one other person lives in my house. I will probably be ditching cable soon.

I have to change my cabin air filter in my car. Every time I start it up, and blast my AC, there's some kind of nasty ass odor coming through =[.

Aye, rent-to-own price. Comes to around $85k.
Didn't even think of the auction thing. Was about to go that route for a car.
Thank you for the suggestion. Will definitely be keeping my eyes open now. :)

And yeah, I used to have family at Hot Springs Village before they moved to Arizona (and then Texas.)
Many fond memories of visiting their house by the river, boating, fishing, and all that fun stuff.

Try to at least visit Hot Springs once every decade or so. Beautiful, historic town and surrounding area.

Yeah, I love that area. It's sooo pretty. It just seemed out of place compared to the rest of your list lol

I'm in MO and these were last month's bills. They're a little higher in the dead of winter and peak of summer.

Sewer/Water - $60
Electric- $80
Gas - $30
Cable/Internet - $80 (Actually, landline/internet. I don't have cable.)

After this morning, I can add "changing the thermostat wire on a condenser" to my list of adult skills.

I spliced my broken charger cord open and rehooked the wires/taped it up the other day and my girlfriend was totally confused as to why I didn't just buy another one.

I blew off weed eating today. Really hoping a member of the old man brigade will get bored and come do it for me. I did get the trees trimmed though so they don't scrape the cars and finished weeding the peas though.

I can get an obscene amount done with youtube and a butter knife.

omfg we were gone for a week and the house is covered with fleas. I bug bombed before I left (I do pretty much every time I leave the house for more than a few days out of habit), the dog has none because I bathe and drop him regularly, and everything was locked up so the cats weren't inside. Where the fuck did they come from and how do I get rid of them?

Haven't really felt like an adult lately.
Just trying to make it one day to the next without falling to pieces.

Think the most adult thing I've done is not quit my job and paid my share of rent.
Maybe re-arranged and re-decorated my entire room? *looks at Doctor Who, Batman, and Spider-Man stuffs* Then again maybe not...

Heyy welcome! I'm buying a house some time soon as well :D. The only thing stopping me is obviously finding a house that I like, and finding a roommate to help pay my mortgage :|.
