I thought this was going to be a boring thread with everyone giving their opinion about hookups, but then I actually read the thing I realised this is a really bad script of a debating thread where a man says women can't enjoy sex or being the target of men's attention. How dare we, women, how dare we? I thought, by now, we all knew we are not supposed to enjoy that god giving blessing to men that is sex and orgasms?!?!
 
 
And, what this "that girl (...) that is just asking for it in every way possible?" mean?
Do you measure how bad a woman wants to have sex with any man by how deep is her cleavage? How short is her skirt? The colour of her hair? How she laughs and/or looks at you?
Because I've seen and heard some men giving that excuse about women but not on this context, so I'm not really sure what do mean by that.

 

I think he means "that girl" who ran off with my (now ex) boyfriend in the middle of a party.  

 

Is it wrong of me that I understood what he was trying to say (albeit poorly) in the first post?

All of you are just misunderstanding this poor guy. He likes to have sex with random girls that he meets at the bar, but only if they sort of want to have sex with him. Like, maybe they would, but only if his pickup attempt isn't generic. Because who likes generic pick up attempts? Not proper ladies, who might or might not want to have sex with him. But you guys, he also doesn't hit on girls, because he's not original and can't come up with non-generic pickup attempts. So what he's looking for is a girl at a bar who shows little interest who will come back with him without talking because she has intelligence and wouldn't be interested in what he has to say anyway.

Personally I can be both. I'm moreso the relationship guy. Ive always known I want kids/a wife/and have always been completely loyal to my previous girlfriends, but don't get me wrong...if I'm single I am down for a nice session after the bar with a not too slutty random. While at the same time, I really don't hit on girls. Not really because i'm too shy, but honestly I think any girl that likes a generic pickup style is...shall we call it intellectually challenged?

Y'all are nuts. Took things way too far into detail. Yeah I put my foot in my mouth but am nevertheless kind of surprised at how quickly people are to assume and basically just kind of resort to being assholes instead of thinking for a second and thinking that maybe I didn't think of how I sounded out of context. I'm not a forum goer, I don't even text people really so I'll just set it in my head as an error in my choice of words that led to misunderstandings, because I've met a million people and dont get called anything but supportive. I guess that's just me though.


And to @ Michelle, can you find me one instance of "sliding in inboxes" that has any remote hint of anything inappropriate? Except one @Katya on a thread will you marry me once, that's never happened. Just to clarify I had not ever spoken to her so I thought it was clearly a joke.

Well let's just be real here. If your boyfriend was aware that he's in a relationship and still managed to run off with a girl who isn't you it isn't the girls fault. You just ended up dating a fuckboy. It's ok, it happens to the best of us.

I've done some self reflecting, because I was genuinely curious if I had latent sexism as a factor in my decision making. Talked to my girlfriend about it, etc.

 

Basically what we came to was that both sexes can be sluts, both sexes can not want that from the other sex from a morally okay standpoint...

and either way, it truly doesn't matter what you do, as long as you learn from mistakes.

If you hurt someone because you sleep with someone else, it's wrong...but if you learn from it I consider it justifiable, even if I am the one being hurt by it.

 

That goes for both sexes.

If I think sluts are "worth less" and I'm subtly judging them through my actions, then I do the same with guys.

 

Basically, fuck people.
