what-your-hobby-s-question-handwritten-s

We all have things we do to keep our minds occupied. Where is the happy place you visit to release some energy, or help cope with day to day life? What things do you do to keep your mind busy to "get away from it all"? Something you post here may help people (like me) break some bad habbits!

I guess right now I spend most of my off time at my computer to ignore things. I've tried learning guitar, which turned out to be more frustrating than relaxing, and I've recently purchased a DSLR to try and capture my creative side.

Guitar and singing (just recreationally), video games, reading about interesting things, watching YouTube, talking to people and going out whenever possible if I'm not too lazy.

I also love being in theatrical stuff, so I join theatre groups whenever possible (eg. At my high school I was in a play every year, and I did one last year with my university).

Learning to play guitar recently, and have always been into art & writing. I've got a couple multimedia projects going right now that need some more of my attention.

I have a thousand hobbies and just rotate between them. The main ones are reading/writing/internet. The bf tried teaching me guitar recently too @Adam and it's the single most frustrating thing I've ever tried to do. I have much more fun listening lol

Computer and Electronics.
Recently:
Networking, Servers, and a 3D Printer

Adopting ferrets will keep you occupied as well. High maintenance buggers.

If you like social activities, there's usually a board game club somewhere. Libraries especially. Never go wrong with Catan

Whisky and long dog walks, not usually at the same time.

Well, for starters...

UDSIaTI.png

^That paired with anything below is FANTASTIC. (Especially when music is added to the mix.)

Codex used to be/somewhat is an escape for me.

Television is the next one. Tend to binge watch one show to the next. Currently it's "DC's Legends of Tomorrow" but finishing up the newest season of "iZombie" next. Probably Dragon Ball Super after that.

Anime but that's mostly Gundam anymore. Gundam and 90s stuff like Silent Mobius, Tenchi Muyo, Bubblegum Crisis 2040, The Slayers/Next/Try, Rahxephon, Neon Genesis Evangelion, etc. etc.

Video games - currently Dragon Ball Xenoverse, Dynasty Warriors Gundam Reborn, and Saints Row 3. The Crew when I'm able to borrow my roommate's Xbone or I get a PS4 again.

Shopping when I have money. Sometimes when I do not. lol

Playing board games with friends or video games when they're all too busy.

I've tried learning guitar and found it more frustrating than relaxing too. Haha

My outlet is being with my nephews. I love them too much and theres nothing but happiness when around them, they're my world <3 and I've recently found another human being that can take away all the bad feelings :3
Besides spending time with them, my the computer is definetely an option. I love playing around with web design and other computer stuff.

Listening to music and working out (usually just bouldering but I run from time to time).

Lately I've been reading by the pool which has been pretty relaxing as well.

Should probably start dating to keep occupied

Video games, entomology, writing, martial arts.

I want to get into programming but I'm kind of a dumdum

If I ever have treatment for my physical disabilities I can play sports and get into MMA training again. But that's very unlikely.

Tiny Humans' time, working out (lol no. Just running and bicycling and swimming. Hm.), writing stuff when creativity is on, watching movies/tv shows, reading legislation about my work (it should be frustrating, but it isn't).

I recently bought an anatomy colouring book, and I have one of those adult colouring books as well. Colouring has become an outlet by reminding me of better times, sigh. Also going to the gym, because i usually feel so much better after.
