But Hilary actually scares me so I mean, lesser of two evils here.

 

And I highly doubt Bernie is gonna make it, iirc he actually said himself he doesn't think he'll get it. Not the biggest fan ever of him either. But what are you gonna do?

 

I didn't like anyone who's dropped out either.

Boring reading. Basically, he could seize all assets associated with the threat and the money sent from here to there was in the billions last year, plenty to build a wall, even by US costs of gov things. 

 

That wouldn't hold up in a court of law, as immigration is not a national emergency (only for white nationalists), and the seizure of remittances would be found to be unconstitutional anyways.

I will be voting/ writing in Bernie Sanders... there's no way in hell I would ever vote for Hitlery or Trump! Even if my candidate loses, at least I know I didn't help the other two win with my vote.

 

Vote Green if you want your protest vote to be at least nominally meaningful.

Some of his foreign policy ideas aren't so far fetched - especially when dealing with the middle east. Why not give them a taste of their own medicine? Every time they walk away from the table we make concessions - including in the Iran deal. Whereas, if we were the ones to do the walking and hiking the sanctions further - its possible they could start to make concessions. But we have been playing weak in a lot of negotiations and I think that its due to politics - they want to show that they actually accomplished something. Even if it's not the best deal we could have gotten. I wouldn't mind seeing a few businessmen at the negotiating table. Just not the presidency

 

Why not assassinate the family members of suspected terrorists? ...because it would only make the problem worse (and would be a war crime). 

 

And increasing sanctions to Iran will only further incubate religious fundamentalism and extremism as Iranians lose all other potential sources of hope or meaning.

Any authority granted to the President by section 1702 of this title may be exercised to deal with any unusual and extraordinary threat, which has its source in whole or substantial part outside the United States, to the national security, foreign policy, or economy of the United States, if the President declares a national emergency with respect to such threat.

(a) In general
(1) At the times and to the extent specified in section 1701 of this title, the President may, under such regulations as he may prescribe, by means of instructions, licenses, or otherwise—
(A) investigate, regulate, or prohibit—
(i) any transactions in foreign exchange,
(ii) transfers of credit or payments between, by, through, or to any banking institution, to the extent that such transfers or payments involve any interest of any foreign country or a national thereof,
(iii) the importing or exporting of currency or securities,
by any person, or with respect to any property, subject to the jurisdiction of the United States;

The president can put it into effect without any permission from anyone, he just has to declare it and say what he's going to do about it. Also note the keyword "economy" in both the name of the act and the quoted section. 20+ billion being sent to Mexico annually hurts our economy. Sure, we've been dealing with it just fine over the past 2 decades, but the number keeps going up and I'm sure that if all of this has occurred to Trump (or whoever) that they'll have rhetoric in place regarding the skewed "economic crisis" we may or may not be in, as well as the unemployment situation.
