Ok, so Halloween is my favorite all time holiday! I love watching horror movies! I love dressing up! I love decorating for Halloween. So, I can't be the only one who also enjoys Halloween... right?

 

I would like to start talking Halloween early. Halloween never gets its just due time for enjoying!

 

A few things I would like to know are:

   • Are you dressing up this year? If so, what are you going to be?

  • Are you handing out candy to children?
  • Are you going to any Halloween parties?

  • Are you dressing up this year? If so, what are you going to be?

      ~ Yes, I am dressing up as a voodoo doll! Tried on my costume today and can't wait to show it off!

  • Are you handing out candy to children?

      ~ Not this year. I will be going to Ohio for Halloween. I will be at my best friend's 6th annual Halloween party!
  • Are you going to any Halloween parties?

      ~ Yes I am! I am so excited. I haven't been able to go since 2012 when I moved away! Amber's parties are the best!

  • What's your favorite Halloween Candy?

      ~ Anything with chocolate, but if I get Almond Joys or Mounds, Whoppers, and Kit Kats, I am very happy!

  • What's your favorite Halloween movie?

      ~ It's between Hocus Pocus and Nightmare before Christmas! But, I watch Hocus Pocus a bazillion times!!!!

  • Do you have any Halloween traditions?

      ~ Yes I do, I watch Saw movies, all of them in order in one day! Saw movies came out on October 31, each year, so, I commemorate that by watching the whole series on Halloween.

  • What's the cutest costume you've seen on a baby/cat/dog? (post pics, even google search)

      ~ Ok, When I seen this last year, I died! It was soooooo cute! I just love seeing babies in costumes, so I hope you all share the cutest ones you've seen! Do you have any of babies you know? What about your own pets, ever dress them up?

@Shannon omg you as a witch is adorable! I wish I had pictures of me as a little girl!!! They all burned up in flames when I lost my home to a fire a few years back!

Smarties are my favorite candy through out the year! I have a bunch in my book bag always and when classes get boring, I pull a pack out and eat them slowly lol.

 

And.... if you want to mail me any of that candy.... lol I wouldn't be opposed to it

Yeah one of my friends is having a party the weekend before Halloween weekend. I'm not sure what I'm doing the actual Halloween weekend but I'm sure I'll figure something out.

dressing up and going to parties mostly

I saw an Alvin and the Chipmunks costume on a baby recently it was so cute

Oh man! I have a friend who lives in Australia and she tells me how hard it is to celebrate. Now that she is done with school, last year and this year she will be in U.S.A. for Halloween. She loves it too!

That's a cool idea! That movie was very popular in our town, I expect to see it all over our campus! My best friend is going to be Harley Quinn but not from the movie. (I still haven't seen the movie though and really don't want to) Please don't eat me lol

Watching cartoons in costume. I'm 24 years old and I will never stop. 

What's the cutest costume you've seen on a baby/cat/dog?
 I once saw a cat dressed as a dog. 

 

But that is awesome!!!!! I am 30 years old and will never stop with mine either! Next year I won't be able to go to Ohio anymore, so I will be handing out candy as my new tradition dressed up! Maybe even have a little runt myself.

I always dress up. Last year it was Alice in Wonderland, year before that it was Loki. This year, I'm going as Kylo Ren.

No. I live on campus, no kids.

We do an event every year where you go to all the dorms and get candy..so I don't know if that counts.

Chocolate (milk or white, no dark chocolate).

Nightmare before Christmas (I count it as a Halloween movie, not a christmas one).

Does going to class in costume count? Because that's all I really do.

I don't really pay attention to kids/dogs/cat costume. Best I can say is the hot dog costume for dachshunds.

I love dressing up. I will either be Wilson and the BF will be the hairy guy or I will be Padme and he will be the dude who impregnates Padme. I might or might not be handing candy out. If I can rent a wheelchair somewhere, I'd like to take my own kids out, but if I can't, then I'll hand out candy maybe. It's just not feasible for me to walk up and down hills for that crap this year.
 
I like candy corn and those caramel apple suckers. Sprees, bottlecaps, and Reeses.

Other than that, I don't have any traditions or anything. It's just another stepping stone to Thanksgiving.

So, my psychology club council decided they wanted to do a pumpkin carving event! I think it's a great idea! Who here loves to carve pumpkins?

@Honchkrow Beetlejuice is an awesome movie! I believe they are remaking it, but don't quote me on that! And I think handing out candy is just as fun as going to get candy around the neighborhood!

And I just love cat costumes!!! I hope when people go to their parties or go trick-or-treating that they take pictures of all the cool costumes and post them here!!! That would be amazing!

I'll most likely be doing fuck all since my friends are like 100 miles away, but I might be able to travel down for the weekend if I can be bothered If not then I might make some things for the neighbours kids, not entirely sure what that'll be so i'm still looking for ideas. I will however be binging on the old Addams Family, I don't know how, when, or why but I've developed a recent infatuation with Morticia  Plus the old cheesy dark humour is timeless.

I'm in a Master's program that commutes from a middle of nowhere town, so it's super unlikely we will get trick or treaters

Possibly, unlikely though, depends what's going on around campus

Kit Kats are some of my favorites.

Scary movie I love Sinister, Halloween specific, probably Beetlejuice. 

 

Do you have any Halloween traditions?

Since I'm pagan, I celebrate Samhein as well. Around Halloween, I like to burn candles and get a jack-o-lanturn as well.

This is by far my most favorite cute little guy outfit I've ever seen.

I LOVE HALLOWEEN! Most favorite time of the year (besides Christmas).

 

Being able to dress up in cosplay in public (without getting stared at too much), all the effing candy, and just the general spooky-time!

Yes same here! I love seeing how into decorating people get and the costumes that kids come up with. Halloween is my favorite time of the year!!!!!

I made a super cute bat jack o lantern last year. It was so cute and I was so proud of myself (ok, let's face it, I used one of those "cut on these lines after putting it on the pumpkin things" but even so D: ) UNFORTUNATELY, the thing started to get moldly like (I kid you not) 2-3 days after I carved it. I was SO sad because it had a layer of mold and gross stuff on one side of it. I waited until the week-of Halloween to carve it because i know they have a tendency to die quickly once they're carved (but not Jesus that fast).

We don't do that around here, the town is too small and most of the homes are vacant. Main street gets shut down though and the whole town parties.
