Thanks y'all! She is still cookin in the oven... I have a doc app on Monday to see if I progressed any.

UPDATE: Went in for blood work, not in labor at all. My BP was high but Kyra was perfectly normal. However, that very quickly changed. Only at the hospital for an hour for blood work, they signed me in and with every early labor contraction that I had, did not feel, Kyra's heartbeat dropped. So, doc said we had no choice but to do c-section. Within 10 minutes of that decision, we had to do an emergency c-section. They had no time to do epidural or spinal block. As they were rushing me to surgery, her heartbeat dropped to 50. Before getting her out it dropped to 0. For 26 minutes she had no heartbeat. After being resusitated, she was taken to Vanderbilt hospital while being cooled to slow any further brain damage that was occurring. I am still at Tennova, will be checking out tomorrow and going to see Kyra. She will be at Vanderbilt until we know how damaged her brain is. She is in a study that may or may not help her brain and after the 7 day study, they will test her. Please do not say "I'm sorry to hear that" or sympathy comments. We are only asking for prayers and anything else POSITIVE you can send. We are thinking mentally positive until we have answers ourselves. We do not know more than this until tomorrow. Please do not bombard us with questions. We are exhausted. I am doing well. If you must ask questions, please ask me the questions via private message only. Do not ask in comments as we will not answer them. If I don't respond right away, please be patient, I may be sleeping. I doze in and out whenever I can. Please keep Kyra in your prayers.

Given what I know of Vanderbilt clinical units from my exposure to clinical work, I am grateful that you are located where you are and that she is there (major kudos to their amazingly skilled and knowledge-filled staff).

 

I'm definitely on Team VooDoo and Kyra, and I'm keeping the positivity cranked up with love for you both.
