Hey girl. Yesterday was pretty emotional for us and overwhelming. Sorry I didnt respond. So i am holding her now and she stayed in our room all night and slept next to me. We are not breastfeeding. She has been off of her ventilator since yesterday at 330 so she is breathing on her own but thats all she can do. We have it set up for her to donate her heart valves to save another baby's life and she already donated her time to science, taking after mommy. So her legacy will live on forever in science and she will be saving another baby's life. As I hold her, the seizure meds arent working so with every seizure she has, her brain is deteriorating. As always, and I know you won't but please don't share this as we are telling only a few people right now.

Oh no... I feel like my heart is sinking now. I've been eyeing this thread excited to hear about updates on Kyra.

 

Despite what's happened, I am happy you were able to share your excitement with us, and I'm sure Kyra felt that excitement too. You'll be in my thoughts.

I truly am sorry to hear this news but I am glad that you have been able to spend your precious time with Kyra. You're so strong, I doubt I would even be able to hold myself together to even string any form of sentence or anything.

Thank you for posting this picture, VooDoo <3 Kyra looks so familiar to me because she looks just as she did on the ultrasound (right down the the tiara!). What a gorgeous baby girl she is. You are so strong and you and Ryan will make it through this. You have already made selfless decisions, and I have immense respect and awe for the way you have been handling them. Thank you for sharing Kyra with us <3
