NeoCodex is more like a NeoNursery eh.
Aaw this is great! Congratulations, girl! <3
I find it hilarious that you told Codex before anyone else. It shows how well adjusted you are.

OMG thank you for this! And congrats on a Christmas baby! Are you hoping baby will come exactly on Christmas?
@Katya yeah I had to tell more than just my man creature! There was no way I could keep this secret from everyone! And since I am excited about being preggers, but have no one in my real life to talk to (of course besides my man creature), I thought you all would be perfect to share this part of my story with. It has helped me get through this very hard first trimester! It's been super rough on me!

"Man creature" lmao. Loved it
I completely understand it! I hope you can find here whatever lacks in your rl or complement to it. You'll get tons of support and helpful tips, that I'm sure. Anything to make that incredible journey easier every day. If you think the first semester is rough, man... wait for the last one.. Oh well, you'll have enough time to enjoy it yourself, no need to worry just yet

Thanks I'm fine with her coming whenever she is ready, just hope its 37 weeks or later so she is mostly developed and doesn't need to spend any time in the NICU or anything. My mom thinks she will come early and has been panicking because she lives out of state and her nursing school won't end until November 22nd, so if I go in to labor before then, she won't be there for the birth which is her worst nightmare
First trimester can be rough but most people start to feel better around 12 weeks. Just make sure you get adequate rest
Posted 23 October 2016 - 01:25 PM
Rest is easy for me lol. All I do is sleep, I can't keep my eyes open! But yeah, my mom lives in Ohio and I in Tennessee which makes telling her hard to do. My idea is video chat so I can see her face and she see mine, but still, it's not special. I am bummed about that but I will get past it.
I hope she comes past 37 weeks as well.
Thanks @Katya

That's what I did - I'm sure she will be just as excited and it will be equally special

Thanks @renegade
And today is my first baby appointment, I really have no idea what to expect! 1:30! If they do an ultrasound, and give me a picture, I will post it on here later today! After my doctor's app, I have to go to school and start setting up for the big Scarefest I am doing for Psychology Club. The last big thing we have to do this semester!

After my doctor's app, I have to go to school and start setting up for the big Scarefest I am doing for Psychology Club. The last big thing we have to do this semester!
My first appointment, they took a urine sample, weighed me and took my blood pressure. They asked me a bunch of questions like if this was my first child, was the pregnancy planned, what symptoms have I experienced, do I have a history of certain disorders in the family, when was my last menstrual period, when did I get the positive test etc etc. I think they took some blood work. They did a normal vaginal/pap checkup and breast screen. Finally, they did the ultrasound which they had to do vaginally because the baby was too small at that point for them to find via normal ultrasound and based on the ultrasound, they provide an estimation of how many weeks the baby is and estimated due date/conception date as well as the estimated heartbeat of baby. The doctor just talked to me about things to do and not do and what to expect and all that good stuff, gave me a bunch of paperwork and pamphlets and scheduled next appointment 4 weeks after that.

Yes morning sickness is gone finally, so now I am able to enjoy every second of my baby! OMG the ultrasound was amazing. Baby bean was moving so much! I loved seeing baby bean move. It was surreal!

So exciting! When do you get to find out the baby's gender?
Posted 06 November 2016 - 11:25 AM
Probably in about 9 weeks! But not sure exactly, I just assume at 20 weeks I will find out! I will be happy if I find out any sooner though! I am hoping for a boy! Jaxon Tyler is the name we picked out!

Aw, little peanut!
Congratulations @VooDoo! This thread is adorable, love the excitement that comes through in your posts.
If I had seen this thread while you were still feeling nauseous I would have suggested what helped me:
Cool cloth on the back of the neck
smelling peppermint
ginger candies
I always felt motion sickness in the car throughout my pregnancies!
Any new cravings lately? I always craved melon fiercely during the first trimester. And spicy pickled peppers, steak, licorice. Sometimes cravings are signals of what your body is needing the most of during that stage in baby's development. In my case melons are high in folate and I always get very anemic during pregnancy which explains the steak.
I was given a stretchy belly band that allowed me to wear my jeans (unbuttoned lol) and layer with shirts that were getting too short due to my belly. Best maternity clothes tip I can think of.

Oh my god, this thread makes me so happy!! Congrats! My brother just had a boy in January, and they will have one more in February (so very close XD). Babies are just the best <3

Thanks @0ryx and no motion sickness for me! Thankfully! We do a lot of driving to go see Ryan's daughter in Alabama. 3 hour drive. And ginger candies are gross lol. But I drink Vernors, which is a ginger soda and super amazing and helped wonders!
@Freja thanks! And good luck to your brother! I am probably not going to have another child for a long time lol.

@MozzarellaSticks hahahaha yeah, I realized before getting the ultrasound, that that shirt might not have been the best to wear, and would have been hilarious if the ultrasound revealed two babies! lol. I would die! But, thankfully, there's only one! There can be only one! Thanks too! I am very excited as well!!!! I am hoping the next ultrasound I get will be right before Christmas because that may be the one where we can tell if it is a boy or a girl!
Posted 15 November 2016 - 06:29 PM
Love the pictures Glad things are going well for you! What do you think the baby will be? I'm going with boy!

@VooDoo well, Adam is a great name, but maybe I'm partial
Posted 17 November 2016 - 06:38 PM
Unfortunately, Adam is the name of my ex who was an abuser! So Adam will not be a name we pick! But we are liking Jaxon Tyler
