It can be in the form of a haiku, limerick, free expression, short stories, microfics, or whatever you feel like! It can be funny, scary, serious, sad. You set the mood! Surprise me people! I look forward to it. (I'm sorry about the format getting ruined, there's nothing I can do about that.)

Scaretale of an Arachnophobe
Spoiler
You pull the duvet up towards your neck line, certain your toes don’t dangle over the edge of the bed and try to ignore the tickle on your arm. Turn over to try to hush that insomnia and drift towards the precipice of counting sheep. Eyes tightly shut. Shhh. That tickle again and bolt upright. Someone told you once when you’re asleep you swallow spiders. That can’t be true. You don’t sleep with your gob open and drool dribbling. Rip the blanket back. Nothing. You’ve just had too much caffeine before sleep. Head drops to the pillow with a certain ooft sound. You pull the comforter up again and lay on your side this time. Slowly lids gain the weight of tiredness and you sigh sleepily. A small tingle between your toes. The groan of your bedsprings as you launch out of bed. Lights flick on with certainty. Nothing there. There is almost never anything there. Almost.

Not So Haunted
Spoiler
Pressed up against the wall.
Falling faster, watch me fall. When my body hits the ground. Snakes and spiders all around.
Nightmares come and nightmares go. But this is life, don't ya know. I close me eyes and hope to see. That this is all just fantasy.
Oh my god, what's on my leg? Go away, I scream, I beg. Eyes are open, looking for light. All these spiders looking to bite.
Snake slithers up my thigh. Spiders biting, why, oh why? I should've never walked in this house. Now it's time to run like a mouse.
Haunted houses are meant to be scary. Ghost and ghouls, demons like Mary. But this is not what I had in mind. Now it's off to the next haunted find.
