I've been angry and afraid for people I care about the last few days, and I'm just so happy I'm not spending Thanksgiving with my family. 90% of them are Trump supporters.

Update from DC: the atmosphere is about as apocalyptic as you'd expect. I'm 90% sure I won't lose my job, but many of my friends and peers aren't so lucky.
In the bigger picture, I'm worried for anyone who isn't a straight white male. Feeling compelled to take on a bigger role in activism and organizing for as long as I still live here. But moving somewhere else sounds more appealing by the day...
I'm surprised the media narrative isn't as focused on the fact that H won the popular vote. The time is now to eliminate the electoral college: https://www.google.c..._amendment.html.
Yeah, pretty much my only solace has been the fact that whether people voted Hillary, Johnson, or Stein, the majority of Americans did not vote for Donald Trump.

This is a bad joke. Why is the right wing winning everywhere?
Maybe if the left didn't act hypocritical and accepted the results of an election instead of rioting or beating up Trump supporters, fewer independents would move to the right.
