I thought I'd post some trophies that I find very easy to get at most times of the month, along with a few extras. This is a mix of legit/illegit, with tips on how to safely get these reasonably simple game trophies.

You'll probably know about most of them, but I'm putting them in one place for convenience so hopefully there is something helpful for you here!

Of course, I cannot post a guide to trophies without saying first check out the amazing "28 Safe and Easy Trophies" by @Bone - I will be skipping all of those trophies because they're quite well-covered already, with one exception...

The first trophy I'll mention was in Bone's guide,

231_1.gif

Petpet Battles

Since this game is so thoroughly awful nobody plays it it's easy to place on the HST whenever you want. But I'm mentioning this just to say, dear lord never play this game legit it is awful, I wrote a user script for it that has gotten me the gold trophy. [User script] Petpet Battle Autoplayer

Shockwave games!! I'll just list them all, they're all equally easy to get. Because, nobody plays them. Because, they are a pain to get working. You can run them in Firefox easily, but you cannot send score in Firefox ever so lol don't even try.

  • What you need to do, is download Safari. I'm told that this works better on a Windows PC than a Mac, me I've only tried on Windows. Anyway. Get Safari. Run Safari. Try to run any Shockwave game.
  • Most of the time, the game will not load. It might bring up the preloader, or it might stay black. Give it a little while, maybe up to a minute. If it still hasn't loaded, reload the page. Eventually, it will run.
  • If you continue to have problems (I find that some games are fussier than others) then I find that getting one game to run and leaving it running in the background can get other games to load easier. Hannah and the Ice Caves tends to be the most reliable for me, though TROTRODS has been pretty good lately too (6 months ago that was the worst one!)
  • One extra thing though - Hannah and the Pirate Caves, Castle Battles and Gourmet Club Bowls seem to always load with a big black rectangle on the top-left. They're still playable, you just can't see what's there... not great, but I'm not sure how to remove that.

The most recent version of shockwave (as of 11/11/2016) seems to load them fairly quickly, so it shouldn't take too many refreshes. The version from 6 months ago could take up to an hour to work, haha...

313_1.gif

Frumball - can be a little rough to load, and can run very slowly for no reason. But you generally don't need to get further than level 1 to get a trophy.

480_1.png

TROTRODS - my fave! One thing though - if your score is reviewed it tends to sort of break... everything... But if you get to the last level without dying you're fine for a gold trophy, and you will be below review.

473_1.png

Hannah and the Ice Caves - Runs wonderfully! No problems. A+.

349_1.png

Hannah and the Pirate Caves - the black rectangle is present here, but not too much of a detriment. Seems to run quite well, but you might need to launch Ice Caves first to get it started.

330_1.png

Gourmet Club Bowls - Wow, OK this one is difficult to play with the black rectangle if you want a high score. Usually not needed for a trophy. But type "shepherd" at the title page for double points, and the trick is to watch where your opponent is shooting if you can't see the ball. You can always go all offense and just work at knocking his balls out-of-bounds.

386_1.png

Attack of the Slorgs - easy game, fun game. In the later levels you can even just keep shooting and rely on the pink slorgs to destroy everything. But you usually don't even need to get that far for a trophy.

430_1.png

Castle Battles - this game can be very difficult to load and can run like garbage, but hey it does that for everyone so you don't need a good score for a trophy.

356_1.png

Dice Escape - this one people can seem to run OK, so it has a little more competition. But there is a maximum possible score (not sure what it is), so you're fine. Follow this guide and you'll get it no problem. Pretty quick to get too.

3d games!! These games are also very annoying to run, so very few people in the HST for these! They're a little easier to run than shockwave... mostly.

You can run them in Firefox but you can't send score. You cannot run them in Safari without logging yourself off. And you can't run them in Chrome at all.

They run just fine in Internet Explorer, though! However in order to use your keyboard (for Last Blast) you will need to run Internet Explorer in Admin mode.... for some reason.

Sometimes there can be trouble processing score, but really for a bronze trophy you only need like 1 point so it's quick to check.

925_1.gif

Terror Mountain Tilt - It starts off fun then gets aggravating. There's usually some competition for gold, but the rest of the HST doesn't usually fill up.

926_1.gif

The Last Blast - oh I used to love this as a kid... If you want to play proper there's maps online, but it's pretty simple.

877_1.png

Shenkuu River Rush - I can never remember the controls for this game, I hate it. Like the others you only need 1 point though, so neato keen. You can die by running into rocks if you want to give up.

Endless score trophies:

There are a lot of flash games on neopets that don't have a "maximum" score you can send. So I'll post what they are, and what strategies you can use to play forever. As well as how quick or not it is...

230_1.gif

The Castle of Eliv Thade

This game is absolutely forever-taking to rack up a high score for the HST, but it's perfectly doable. You just keep going back and forth to get extra points... it takes forever and sucks, ugh. You can either use one of the many neopets anagram solvers online to play the way the legit scrubs do, or use an AOB. Very safe, it takes forever and all the regulars do that.

Review score is 2200 iirc, however be aware that score 4000+ have historically never passed review. For some reason. I have no idea. Maybe to stop you wasting your life.

306_1.gif

Sutek's Tomb

You get your time extended when you get combos, so you can play indefinitely But it also takes forever and some of those people on the HST... absolute nutters. There's a legit "cheat", type "pyramibread" to see a hint as to what move you can do. This is very simple to get legitimately, but ... takes ages. It has gotten better than it used to be.

Review score is 100,000 I think, which is usually a gold trophy score. But that is a score that playing legitimately will take up to 4 hours to get. So... probably try earlier in the month, but this trophy is always achievable if you want to punish yourself. That said, do not try to play this close to midnight NST as if you play over that time (or around then... times shift around the site) you will not be able to send score.

615_1.gif

Jolly Jugglers

Endless score? Absolutely. Just wait around at the end boss and collect bullets. Once you've got enough bullets (you want lots), kill the boss. You can then unload all your shots into his dead body for bonus points. Is that boring? Yeah kinda. Review score is 2550.

968_1.gif

Berry Bash

If you want extra points, just start letting people get mad and leave. It'll make your "finish the level" meter go down, so you can keep playing indefinitely. People tend not to have a lot of patience for this game, so it tends to take not so long to get a trophy score (compared to Sutek's Tomb! or even any of the other indefinite play games). Review score is 35,000.

1269_1.gif

Wrath of the Snowager

Quite a cute game! If you die, you keep your points but restart the level. And the chia will occassionally drop extra lives. So you can get 3 million in like an hour or two playing level 1 on hard! If you're playing on hard, then don't pick up the -4 thing that the chia drops because he'll try to make sure there is always one of those floating around, so it's a huge waste of time.

1252_1.gif

Hannah and the Kreludor Caves

You can replay levels as many times as you like, bumping up your score. Takes ages though, cannot recommend. Try it at the start of the month, much more reasonable. I think review is around 43k. 35-40k is usually enough for bronze at the start of the month.

Simple trophies for start of month:

874_1.gif

The Search for Princess Lunara

Everybody and their mum plays this game (my mum plays this game), so running through it quickly and getting the maximum score of 300 is reasonable. Regardless of this having a max score, only people in the top 17 get trophies. Do it first day of reset right away for gold. Many people do this, it's quite safe. Though hell, I'm looking at the HST now, 11 days into the month, and I can see you could still get a bronze trophy for that max score-! Just use your AOBs, the time variation is nothing to worry about.

895_1.gif

Dar-BLAT!!!

Exactly the same as Princess Lunara. I'd send a few lower scores alongside, but the maximum score for this is 600 which I have safely sent right away after reset. Definitely use an AOB, getting this legit is... annoying.

941_1.gif

Biscuit Brigade

Follow the guide on this page on the first day of reset, you should get bronze. Uh, that's 100% legit! What am I saying!

229_1.gif

Word Poker

This game there are AOBs for that work quite well. The way that people "legitimately" get on the HST for this game is by getting lucky with letters, using a word unscrambler and typing the words from it Very Fast. So it is perfectly reasonable to use the AOBs for this to just type away madly until you get a HST score. The thing with this game is, each round will last for the same amount of time, regardless of how good you are. So if you're using AOBs and not exceeding around 2400, you'll be quite safe.

Start of the month lately, you're looking at 1300-1800 points for a trophy. Review score I believe is 2100.

820_1.gif

Roodoku

Roodoku is the same as Word Poker in that all the "legitimate" players use an off-site solving program to get a high score. So it's quite safe to AOB yourself a nice safe score near the start of the month. Anything up to 1240 is a reasonable score. I went with somewhere in the region of 1211 ;)

527_1.png

Attack of the Revenge

I honestly can't believe how low the scores for this one have been for the past 3 years. Review score is 1800, which isn't even that hard to get legitimately. But if you can't get that (or don't want to), just use the AOBs. You'll be quite safe, the variability between time for legit scores is quite fine to cover your AOB shenanigans.

1330_1.gif

Invasion: Blastoids

Wow good job TNT making the trophy the wrong size. Anyway. Uh. This is another game people are terrible at. It is easy to legitimately get 110k. You just need to get the bonus levels by getting a combo of 5 or more blastoids each level. I don't think there's a review score, though I could be wrong. Check out bartdrunkey's YouTube video to see the pro strats: Invasion: Blastoids - 141,550 Points - By Bartdrunkeys (Part 1)

Sorry for such a long rambly post! Pick and choose whichever you want to go for, and I wish you luck. Don't be scared about getting trophies, they are cool and I saw this one dude on the neoboards who got 100 trophies in two months, no freeze lol.

That's... huh. Sorry, I didn't even notice that Apple discontinued Safari for windows. Show's how long it's been since I got it, haha.

Looks like Safari 5.1.7 is the last version that was released for windows, it was removed from the Apple site but you can still get it from cnet: http://download.cnet...4-10697481.html

Did you mean "most of the time" I have been playing terror mountain tilt for ages and still no score goes through. :( Any tips on how to get to it go?

EDIT- i just heard somewhere that to have score sent on those games, they need to be played in the browser, rather than the pop up. I am yet to get it to work in the browser... any ideas?

Definitely using Internet Explorer, right? I haven't tested that in Edge, but I can send score in IE. IIRC, if you can't send score in the pop-up window, close it and refresh the browser version (I don't know why it loads twice).

I have not tested this month for Terror Tilt (I haven't gone for many/any of the trophies I've listed this month specifically to avoid outing my main) but I can see somebody I know used IE11 to run the game on the HST - somebody on the neoboards: Mr 100 trophies in 1 month.

IIRC = If I recall correctly... It doesn't really matter where it loads, if it fails to send score reload whichever window and try again. These games have always had problems sending score, even when they were new, but it does definitely send on IE11 (Edge is the "new" Internet Explorer)

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful, the 3d games are pretty buggy and always have been. But on IE11 if you refresh it should work eventually. If it starts working for one window it will usually continue working. Best of luck!
