To know that 2016 is nearly done,
A year that all have begun to shun.

2017 couldn't really come too soon
At least to tragedy we're now immune.

2016 was the year of the crazy
Perhaps that's the fault of the lazy

Regardless of your emotion toward this year
Enjoy yourself, have another beer.

New year is a time for celebration
After all, it can't be worse than castration.
