Starting a website, would like a nice looking logo for business cards/favicon, etc. What I'm looking for is the letters W and V in a bold (as in style not type) font, like hmm..idk how to explain exactly, but neat and professional. I want the W to be top left, with the V coming out of the second downslope of the W. I'll see if I can draw it up in paint or something, but it really shouldn't be too difficult (I imagine) I just have no graphic design skills. Thanks!

Something like that, you get the idea. Maybe a version with a circle around it too? If you're interested PM me and we'll work out payment. Thanks!

So the letters should be thin, kinda like this? : forum.jpg

and straighter, and I'd like the V to be just as pronounced as the W if possible

Spoiler

I think you had something like the first one in mind but using an actual capital V will always result in the hairline of the V being a bit more diagonal (See the second where I did use a V and not just a duplicated part of the W. A V will always be a little bit wider since it's otherwise to narrow in texts.

If you're taking input too, I personally think where @Liesa is headed with it is cool. I feel like an outline around the outside of the circle could look cool, around 5-10px thick and throw in royal blue could look cool?

I totally realize it was just a rough mockup, just throwin some ideas out.

@Liesa Awesome! Thank you. Very interesting information. I kind of like the second one with the V, I feel like it has more flavor lol, do you know what I mean? But do you think it would be too distracting as a professional logo? Also for the circle, could I see it with a thin border, not filled in? I appreciate this a lot, thank you. And I'm happy to pay for the final product!

And yeah @Generic, totally open to suggestions! My business card is black/white/grey so probably not blue.

@Romy get your own thread! :)

I would advice for the second one too since it breaks the very diagonal feel to it a bit. Plus the other is a thorn in my eye since I know it's not a V. :p I think it would work as a professional logo, I'll update in a bit with a thin border and no fill.

@Liesa oo I like that, yeah the border I had in mind would have been too thick. I like the white background better personally

Yeah the grey circle is just the way we got taught to design :p It can stand for an outline/ a color fill/ anything.

@Liesa This is awesome! Coming along so nicely, thank you so much. Can I see it where the border is as thick as the three thinnest lines in the logo? Also, could I see it inverted with white text and border and black filling? Thanks!
