Okay, charge up your cattle prods, we are going to go round up some relics! Whoever can get a picture of an ACTIVE neopets userlookup W/ a shield that was around since month one first wins a Halloween Blumaroo Plushie on a junk account.

 

Target: 17 years, 3 months, since Neopets started, so 17 years 2 months or 17 years 3 months are the only acceptable entries. Close calls are welcome just for fun buy you won't get a prize for 17 Years 1 Month.

 

Rules: 

 

-Cannot Be staff accounts

 

-Cannot be yours or another user's account (Duh).

 

-I'm not going for the oldest account offered, I want one that is specifically 17 years and 2 months old or older. dig up the relics!

 

-Can't have excessive HTML templates on the page,

 

-Must be a clear picture, blatantly obvious that it is unmodified/tampered with.

 

-ACTIVE ACCOUNTS!!!

To be honest I am unsure if any exist but I hold out hope that some fanatic relics are still RSing/doing their thing out there. If I started this rodeo in 1999, I think I'd have quit long ago

Remember this isn't a contest of the oldest found account out of entries, it has a very specific target range. Not handing out 2m for a mere 15 year old account.

 

You can buy accounts older than that for a few bucks so it is most definitely NOT the oldest active account ROFL.

You are the one that skipped reading. He quoted TNT saying that 'coolgirl' is the oldest active account, so this contest makes no sense because there are not accounts older than that active in the game.

 

Also, the account is not 15 1/2 years as you mentioned. This is, in fact, the oldest shield we have at the moment, but the account was created in November 17, 1999. The oldest account in the game is probably borovan's, which was created in November 13, however Neopets was launched in November 15, so the coolgirl account was created two days after the game's launch. @Swarley actually won this.

Yeah what? They haven't updated the shields in years, that 15 1/2 years shield is the "oldest" one that's been drawn. If you wanted to check if "older" shields existed you could just check the image server, type in the url directly.

 

TNT have always been bad about keeping up on user shields, like, the 6 year shield was the oldest one for... probably 6 years.*

 

*Edit: that is to say, accounts like the one posted above probably had 6-year shields until the account was 12 years old

This is pretty accurate. If you check SunnyNeo's monthly shields, there's a question from the Editorial in the bottom of the page:

 

 

The old players actually got stuck in the 6 years shell for a long time, I remember it happening XD

I wish they would do new shields, but I like the 15 1/2 years one and I'm afraid they will just make an ugly as fuck shield to 16+ years and I will wish the 15 1/2 back.

They can be as short as a haiku or like... long. Not too long though because I'm not very good at paying attention to things.

 

Prizes

 

I haven't a VPN at the moment so I don't have any Neopets prizes to send you at the moment, but for a single winner, decided by popular vote, will get a reasonably simple single-character (or neopet) picture drawn by me.

 

I've won the Picture Competition / Art Contest every time I've entered, so a possibility would be a picture of a neopet whose pet day is coming up I have a very generic style and have done this on multiple accounts safely. You'll have to trust me though, I ain't got anything handy as an example image since I just rebuilt my computer.

My apologies, I had no idea that shields stopped at 15 and 1/2 years. Nor did i realize that the account was literally one of the oldest out there Deetz being sent.
