Okay I raise you all, air conditioned hotel room smell.
I mainly think of that as a sensation rather than a smell. I was in a hotel last night with the AC on, but I never really noticed a smell. Maybe next time I'll be aware of it.

Take a long sniff when you first walk in the room. You only notice it when you haven't been there long. After a while you adjust to it and don't really notice.

I'll have to do that. Now I'm curious about the smell! Maybe I'll turn my bedroom AC on tonight and see if it's the same.

It's not. But AC smell in general is the best thing ever. It just smells so... Cold, and crisp.

New book smell.
Lately, new books smell horrible. Like bitter chemicals and musty rot.
I like the smell of bleach and disinfectant. And tar.

New book smell.
That's not weird, new books smell great always.
And re: armpits.
I remember hearing a long, long time ago that old lady armpits are a universally comforting smell because they remind people of hugs from granny. Awwww.

For most, maybe. My nan used to bring her arm around my neck and squeeze the ever loving shit outta me, something like a wrestler's bear hug. If I somehow find myself in the peculiar situation of smelling an old lady's armpits, i'll probably think i'm about to be suffocated

Sadomasochism is basically a job requirement in the education sector.
