Hi! I hope a thread like this wasn't made already, but I did a search and it didn't seem like it.

Happy Eclipse Day!
This is the first coast-to-coast total solar eclipse in 99 years in the USA!

If you aren't in America, or can't look at the eclipse for other reasons, here's a link to a livestream:

I got so lucky, I got 80% where I live. Sad part is it was too cloudy to see :(

I got like 70% where I am.
It sucks that you couldn't see it though. Damn clouds!

I can't really see it either because I don't have the glasses. :lol2: :crybaby:

My mom kept screaming if I looked remotely near the sky, so I didn't get a good look myself.

My mom made these weird cereal box things to look at it with...
It's pretty cool, actually.

I'm sorry your mom wouldn't let you look at it, though. :(

Edit: image.jpg

Here's a picture of what the eclipse looks like through it!

We got 90% here and it was just as underwhelming as I thought it would be.

Yeah, it was kind of boring. Someone told me it would get all dark, but it didn't really.
Looking at it was kinda just looking at a dangerous version of the moon.

I was practically blind before the eclipse anyways, I have really bad eyes. :lol2:

Yeah, it wasn't that exciting lol. But I did get to miss like 20 minutes of work so that was nice.

You didn't wear special glasses when you looked at it?

I caught the partial eclipse on my way out of work. It was just kinda dusky out the entire drive home. There were like 20 people blocking the damn door out of the building when I left.

"Yeah let's all just stand in front of the doors..hurrrdurrr not like anyone needs to get in or out."

Then I accidentally caught a glance of the massive glare on my car, so now I'm blind. rip.

I wish I was able to see the eclipse! I'm out of the country until tomorrow, so no eclipse spotting for me! Maybe it's better, though lol. I have a tendency to forget important things so I'd probably accidently go blind.

I looked at it through a weird cereal box thing my mom made. There's a picture in one of my posts :3
I didn't get to see it directly.

There was a bunch of traffic coming from where the park near me is... it was impossible to go anywhere.
It's not really that interesting, I personally got bored kinda quick.

:( You didn't miss much, actually

Oh oh oh I was in the path of totality and kinda live-chatted the whole thing in slack. I watched mostly online and went out at totality and peaked and tried to get a shitty cell phone picture lol.
It was amazing, yes amazing, I'm so glad I went outside.

Your phone worked better than mine,  I didn't get anything like the corona in my pictures.  The one good one I got, was a shot of the horizon red and purple from being on the edge of the shadow.    We had to drive  for hours with traffic and road construction.   AC wasn't working well enough but the beer cooler helped.
