I've gotten lazy ever since Splatoon came out but I LOVE platform-hell and bullet-hell (danmaku/shmup) games. They're pretty tough but so much fun!! Then on top of those I love roguelikes, JRPGs, RPGs (some of my favourite games are RPG Maker games), visual novels, and those surrealistic exploration games like Yume Nikki and LSD: Dream Simulator.

The only third person shooter I've played is Splatoon so I can't really say much about that genre lol. And Animal Crossing is the only sorta life sim game I play too hahah

and i'm still crying bc I've never played twilight princess

You could always buy a secondhand *cough* modified Wii from Craigslist or your local equivalent, they shouldn't be more than $50 now :0

Animal Crossing on the switch is my lifelong dream :'D I hope they don't load AC Mobile with a bunch of cash grabby gimmicks, but I wouldn't be surprised if they do.

Garrus Vakarian, absolutely.

I also really love Tali'zorah, and felt a lot for Mordin. Also can't forget about Wrex and Grunt - the Krogans are probably one of my favorite races in the series.

 

I've been meaning to get Andromeda eventually to play it, but I've been getting a bunch of mixed reviews from my friends...

RPGs. The more grindy, the better. If I'm able to overcome any challenge the developers throw at me simply by mindlesy grinding for exp and dosh then it's my kind of game.

I've got platinum trophies for X-2, Disgaea 5, Hundred Knight, Type-0. All by grinding or...ahem...trying out a certain EXP exploit for one.

I have a love hate relationship with Devil May Cry 4. Me and a friend set out to beat it on Dante Must Die mode and it took us years of on/off playing. Then that unlocks Hell And Hell mode so we had to do that too I've yet to see anyone with a higher gamerscore on it.

 

I played Bayonetta for the first time last week and started having ptsd flashbacks.

I'm totally in love with Horizon Zero Dawn right now. It's fuckin amazing and I want everyone to play it. Too bad it's limited to the PS4...

All the Elder Scrolls games. <3 Anything medieval-like and fantasy has my heart, also a fan of Dark Souls and The Witcher. (Big surprise)

Hey, first original thread! Anyways, I was wondering what everyone's favorite video games or genres were! My absolute favorite video game is Dishonored, and I really love the charcter Billie Lurk! She's my absolute FAVORITE character and I would do anything for her if she were real.

As far as genres go, like music, I'm a pretty versatile person and I love everything from casual farm simulators (Harvest Moon being my first video game) to FPS (Overwatch, TF2, Day of Defeat). However, personally RPGs like Monster Hunter always have a special place in my heart and take priority a lot.

Probably not the most original answer, but Final Fantasy VII will always be my favourite game. As far as genres go, I LOVE RPGs, action-adventure, and fun mindless sims.

Tell me some good horror games. I love that genre. My favourite are the Forbidden Siren series, also Silent Hill, naturally (still steamed Silent Hills was cancelled)
