so Abrosia estimate item price base on the Neopets Item Database price, but I notice that the item database price is often very off due to some owners pricing the items super expensive (outliers) 

 

 

take a specific example: Hanging out

a sellable price for it would be around 3000-4000, but due to bad sampling of outliners, it's priced at 14,405 NP, which causes Abrosia to buy it when it's not actually profitable. a simple solution to this would be to treat the highest 2 price as outliers and exclude them. 

 

Is that something fixable for the Abrosia?

Abrosia updates prices in the background, and neon ap sho pricer does the same thing. The prices in the database are not the lowest can item will sell for so they can be off. Abrosia has no access to the SSW, so we can’t use it to price.

Only certain members may update prices, and only UBs are able to updated by hand.


Due to users having a certain number of searches before they get SW banned, it may be sometimes difficult to tell when something is actually an outlier. We’d have to set certain things like percentage above other prices and such for abrosia to determine an outlier on every single item.
