Abrosia is working again thanks to @Kway. Please extend your thanks to them for taking care of this.

Additionally, all current Advanced membership subscribers have had their subscription extended by 1 week to make up for the downtime.

That is great! Everything works, including buying black market boon items (I was slightly worried about that, but that was unfounded).

I just noticed this new message popping up every now and then. This seems new, I've never seen it in the past 2 months or so.

"www.neopets.com is using a security service for protection against online attacks. This process is automatic. You will be redirected once the validation process is complete."

 

This suggests some sort of ddos protection. Is using the AB/auto players dangerous at this time?

The people on the Neoboards say that this has happened before, in 2019, and thus will likely be resolved soon. Does anyone remember if there were problems with the ABer back then?

Does the program manager even allow you, Rift, to log in currently?
I don't know if if it would be dangerous, but I can't use the program manager and tampermonkey scripts don't work either (because they get stuck on the security message).

Basically this has happened before. Neopets put in a browser check which caused the program manager to have issues. But they have once again removed the browser check, so everything's working again. 

 

Hard to say what's going on in their heads, because this exact same thing happened exactly this same way before. Put in the check, then removed it for no apparent reason.

Pretty sure it gets triggered on DDoS protection looking at what details are made public by Stackpath.
