Selling Invites nooo I think rank would be good like maybe a 200 post and above rule could be set in place so that only people with 200 posts or mor ehvae acces to invites but like also ranks would also come in the regs would get like 3 and priv 6 and smods 12 and admins as many they want

Some of us would like to invite friends to this forum but dont totally have the ti'me to be super active and get 200 osts, like me. I'm well respected on a number of sites, though with school I don't have the ti'me right now to be super active and make lots of posts, so just make sure its fair to everyone.

I understand, but in that case I would ask that steven find a different venue to make money as we are trying to filter out all noobs by having an invite system and selling invites totally defeats the effort.

Dro don't say your filtering out noobs  . Like holy crap I'm a newb :p

Sorry but there has to be some sort of way for invites to be li'mited. Otherwise, its so easy to just bring anyone in here. The invites will remain at giving based upon the activity of the account as a non active account, given invites right away could instantly invite someone we dont want on the forum. I am still looking into whether or not I should do it by rank as I dont want to take the ability to invite from members. . Ill figure something out.

Because a neocodex invite is not something you make money off of. That totally defeats the purpose of having an invite mod. I'm not writing this for your personal gain, steven. If you dont stop selling the invitations, I will make sure that invites are disabled on your account.

 I was umm joking seriouslly  I know I couldn't seel codex invites thou that would be extremly nice if I could

I don't blame hi'm Hydro. (well, maybe a little for the invite thing) but Steven needs food.

When you have asshole roommates like he has.. you would want some cash for food. :o

why need invites? (sorry if I posted before, I can't remember)

I think codex should stay locked up as it is, for safety reasons

we've had past leekers, and for all we know we might still have a few, if someone gets their hands on them stuff could go into the wrong hands

it's kind of a huge risk here

erm, you know how we have private?.. perhaps we could have the people we want to "invite" give us a little bit of info on them, perhaps to know more instead of just letting them in?

the rationale is that members will invite their friends who are already mature.

I am not asking for them instantly I can be a little more active but I cant spend all my ti'me here trying to get 200 or more posts just for one invite, I mean I want to be active and invite a firend or two but I cant do that. I hope its based on something fair like a number of posts to mkae per each invite and something about ti'me spent online so it is somewhat fair, thanx.

But if only people higher than members get them...

Thats unfair as no one seems to want me in private :( I've been on here ages.

I say only members with say, 500 posts or more should be able to get invites, I mean, we can obviously tell if someone is spamming to get 500 posts, and if they do :( . Si'mple as, with 500 posts you can tell someone is active enough and probably mature enough.

and the forums keep restarting... I would have about 4,000 posts if the forums never restarted... but then hydro would have like 10,000 :p
