Though this may be old news; 11-08-04 , FullMetal Alchemist aka Hagane No Renkinjutsushi, was released in the US - on Cartoon Network. The story revolves around the Science of Alchemy. Edward and Alphonso Elric are out on the vast and gorey journey of recovering the Philosophers stone, the ability to use Alchemy far beyond their power. It all began, when ages were young, and their world was seemingly in peace and wonderfully bliss with their Mother along side them. Her body grew weak, and her love for their Father (who left many years ago) was eroding her health. Day after day she struggled, and at that solem morning, her life went away. The only way to solve this problem was to bring her back to life - though the ulti'mate taboo of them all. Ed and Al began the ceri'money, and they were as ready as ever to bring her back, for their hearts were pounding with fear and sadness. The energey of Alchemy took place, and all in a tangled mess it left them. Al was sucked through the gate - as Ed reached forward to bring hi'm back. He was gone, and  Ed did the only desperate thing he could, he gave away two of his li'mbs to bring back Al's soul and cast hi'm in an iron covering. Edward left unable to walk, blood spewing from every direction of his arm and leg, and his mothers mutilated body staring at them...thus the adventure begins, to repent for their mistakes, and bring Al's body back, as well as Edwards Li'mbs.
