my account was also hacked recently
recoverd now
my old pass was
a rave venue in uk
a 2 digit number
a char from cap + number
my email account was also not in use from this account has the isp I use now has changed
so how the hell are they doing it?
I belive there using a prog like munga bunga I also belive this to be midash or a admin of another forum
my password is si'milr on there forums
(uses the rave venue)
in munga bunga u can add this prefix and use it to crack with only 3 extra chars it would take about
7 minutes on dial up

guessing a password to someone as nice as shadow is just not right I agree but if shadow has a pw easy enough to guess or any other member does I think it should be changed

they are using a program called "wwwhack". its an uberleet hacker progam.
I think we shud do an automate reset of all passes, and set mini'mum length on a pass at 10 chars....thats a long ass ti'me to crack a pass.

well since this topic is back up lol well someone done p/w recovery so it sent to my email but my email they didn't not get in well got an ip and nothing on the system

the website was took down in january 1999 the owner then discontinued the tool and removed the banners
it dosent support phpsessid something that invision installed a while back so all passwords are returned positive
he also would of used a prefix
not supported by wwwhack the only way u could do it with wwwhack would take decades (thats not an exacturation)
and also wwwhack does not have
!@#$%^&*()_+ enabled by default u have to set it in the options
so yer wwwhack was brilliant when released and when the owner wasprogramming porn sites didnt use proxys (thats what it was made for) he added proxy support to the final build but it didnt work very well.
id use acessdiver but its html form support isnt brilliant

can we I'mpli'ment a 5 PW attempts an hour or something like that? wouldn't that get rid of bruteforce attempts?

dosent stop proxys but if we ban the ip adress after 5 attempts for an hour they would have to have 1 huge proxy list (no list would exist that is big enough) hydros the phper here maybe theres a prebuilt mod for it though having older version on invision really is a major downside
